Owners Rides – Mike & Mary Hooper

Mary and Michael Hooper bought their right hand drive SIJ 1079 in 1997. The car had an interesting history being used in the Dunmurry factory as an executives’ car until the collapse of the DeLorean business when it was sold by the receiver at the Bridgewater sale. It was purchased by a gentleman who wanted to promote his stainless steel business but eventually ended up in a sorry state in a garage. Mary and Michael together with their son James have gradually improved the car with the latest expenditure being a complete brakes upgrade. SIJ 1079 has been to Eurofest in Belfast twice and also visited France and Holland the latter to visit Ed Uding.
