Posted by: TristanC - 15 Apr 2018, 21:27 - Forum: 3 - Electrical - Replies (13)

Does anyone know what rated rectifier diodes I should get in order to carry out the fog light mod?
I want to make sure I get the right ones.

Cheers

vin 11477 - Finally I am an owner

Well, as many of you know, I've around the club for a long time.
Yesterday was the day I made a deal on 11477, an fresh import from Illinois.

She needs a little work and an MOT - but it shouldn't take much before I'm on the road. (hopefully)
None of the front lights work....... (headlights, indicators or side markers...... ) So that should be fun!

Other than that, she runs, drives, stops........ WOO HOO!!

My thanks go out to everyone in the club that lends their collective mind to provide information to guys like me. It's really appreciated.
Thanks especially to Chris P, who has answered my relentless messages and also Chris W, whom also has put up with my constant emailing for advice!

Thank you all...... but I'm sure I'll be raising numerous queries as I go.......

Torque & Talk BBQ, Waterbeach, Cambs 28th April 2018

Not sure if anyone's interested in getting your cars out after the winter but I have been approached by the Lotus organisers of this show:
https://www.thelotusforums.com/forums/topic/94283-torque-talk-bbq/

As far as I can understand it’s just a small social not to long in time gathering but thought it may be chance for a few cars to get together. With any luck a few local cars may get together

Rear number plate..... where to get?
Posted by: TristanC - 08 Apr 2018, 17:42 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (10)

Ok, so it may be premature seeing as I don't have a car yet......

But I've seen some DeLoreans with 2 line rear number plates, but the top and bottom get chopped off.

Where are you guys getting them from these days to make sure they display neatly?

I found this place: https://www.platecreator.com/product/car...m-2-lines/
And they allow you to resize the font as you require. ( they also have a one line 12x6)
But how small to make it? As on that site there's no way of knowing if it will display in the 11x5 aperature of the delorean bezel.....

I'd want it as large as can go while still showing the letters/numbers of the reg.....

Any thoughts of a good place to go?

Croydon (Cambs) Classic Car Show, 15th July 2018

The Croydon Cambs Classic Vehicle Show
Returns for 2018

Sunday 15th July, Noon to 4 pm

Calling all Classic Vehicle Owners & Enthusiasts to a Great Day Out
If the NEC Practical Classics Show is good enough for Danny Hopkins then so is the Croydon Cambs Classic Vehicle Show and we are most grateful to Danny  – Editor of Practical Classics – for his continued support and we are again looking forward to his unique parade commentary and Prize Giving.

This show has become a highlight in the regional summer calendar and we are pleased to announce its return for 2018. It has retained its quaint charm and boasts a loyal following and once again all monies raised will help our small village maintain its Village Hall and restore our beautiful mediaeval church of All Saints which sits alongside the show field and will form part of the day’s programme. It is held in a lovely setting and with lots of food, stalls, drinks, games, plants and arena activities there will be lots to do for the whole family, including vehicle parades, commentary, judging and prizes.

For those who don't already know, Croydon is a small village set on a hill in beautiful South Cambridgeshire countryside. The village lies about 7 miles north of Royston on the A1198 and about 1 mile west of Arrington.

And you won't even miss Wimbledon as you can see it in the TV Marquee
Note Show Cars & Drivers enter FREE. Show car arrivals from 10.30 a.m. and before noon, please. No need to stay at home for breakfast as once again bacon butties & tea/coffee will be available near the signing in desk.

It would be helpful to know of your attendance in advance as this will greatly assist with planning, though no one will be turned away on the day. Please reply using one of the methods indicated below.

A huge THANK YOU in anticipation of your support and please feel free to invite your family and friends to a great day out!

With best regards
Malcolm Ralph – Vehicle Coordinator

Warren Classic Concours, Maldon, Essex 23rd Sept 2018
Posted by: Chris Williams - 06 Apr 2018, 21:36 - Forum: South East - No Replies

Hello,
I hope that you might be interested in bringing your car to the Warren Classic Concours that takes place in September this year. After the hugely successful event in 2017, The Warren Classic and Supercar Show will take place on Sunday 23rd September 2018.
The Warren Classic Concours firmly established itself five years ago as one of the key events on the classic car social calendar and the event attracted thousands of visitors to a celebration of Veteran, Vintage and Classic cars at The Warren Golf & Country Club near Maldon. This year there are 14 different classes for cars of all ages and styles judged by a knowledgeable panel of highly respected collector car aficionados.
Once again, the overall Best of Show winner will be invited to display their car in the Rotunda at the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall for the following week…this is a very exclusive invitation and a great honour for the winning car. There is no entry fee for the concours itself and all entrants receive two VIP passes and will be our guests for the day with refreshments provided throughout the event.
The classes for this year are as follows:
50s AMERICAN CLASSICS
ASTON MARTIN
VINTAGE BENTLEY
VINTAGE ROLLS-ROYCE
CHAUFFEUR DRIVEN CLASSICS
BRITISH CLASSICS
FRENCH CLASSICS
ITALIAN CLASSICS
JAGUAR
SPORTS RACING
FERRARI DINO 50th
MORGAN 1930 - 1960
BERTONE COACHWORK
SUPERCAR

We will also be running the Warren Classic Driving Tour on the Saturday the 22nd September. This was also a great success last year but is limited to 50 cars so if you are interested in joining the tour please contact me in order to secure your place. If you would like more information please take a look at the web site: www.warrenclassic.co.uk where you will find the link for the entry details. If you would like to enter a car for the concours please email me your telephone number, your mailing address and a photo of your car. We will be giving priority to cars that have not been shown before.

I do hope that this may be of interest and I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards
Nic

OEM Look Gauges for Turbo Project (SPA Gauges (Brand New))
Posted by: Chris Hawes - 01 Apr 2018, 19:01 - Forum: DeLorean Cars or Parts For Sale or Wanted - No Replies

The Legacy2 project http://www.deloreans.co.uk/forum/showthr...p?tid=5776 has now been SOLD and going into a different type of car (interior style and colour scheme is different), which means these gauges remain available and are best suited for a DeLorean project or similar white on black gauge layout.

[Image: 5rwoH6JHhPpGDHjaB36ZTBceln4Zoj_LrCWfLdaR...34lfO=w800]

£135 each or £260 for the pair including free shipping within the UK

More images:
https://photos.app.goo.gl/13hlWVrKbYsIBsHE3

Brand new oil pressure and turbo boost gauges which have an anti-glare coating.  SPA installed a white LED backlight in each when ordered to match the DeLorean; as the off the shelf models at the time only came with blue or red LED back lights.  The extra photos within the ‘more images’ link above show the optimal position within a DeLorean to not obscure view (the next phase would have been to make a fibreglass pod to mimic the larger dashboard binnacle) or you could mount them Legend Industries style above the air vents on the centre console.

Other Information

Please note: I’ve also advertised these elsewhere

For any queries please email me in the first instance: legacy2@legacy3.co.uk
