  Most desirable?
Posted by: RichardM - 08 Aug 2015, 15:19 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (3)

I know the DeLorean was only made for a short period of time, and that there were only a few changes in that time. However which are most desirable, earlier or later cars? Or no difference?

What about manual or auto? Colour of leather? Or, again, no real difference and it is just personal preference?

What about the BTTF car(s)?

Thanks.

  Automatic Transmission Filters Avaliable Now
Posted by: DMCTodayMichael - 07 Aug 2015, 02:40 - Forum: DeLorean Cars or Parts For Sale or Wanted - Replies (7)

After 11 months of work, I now have in my possession a limited supply of transmission filters for the DeLorean. We had these produced using the Renault O.E. filter as reference. I have tested it in my own car for the past few months and it works perfectly! I have also sourced a magnet for those who don't have a filter at all in their auto boxes. The magnet is about the same size as OE, but this one is N35 neodymium which is much stronger than O.E. This was not a cheap venture for me at all, but we strived to keep the costs below $50.00 per unit and we did.

Each filter kit includes one filter and one O.E. cork gasket. The pan gasket is no longer avaliable but the vendors just use silicone gasket maker. There are also aftermarket pan gaskets avaliable.

If you would like to order from my eBay auction, here is a link.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/DeLorean-Automa ... 1571531236

However if you would like to place a bulk order and have them all shipped to one person, who can in turn distribute them personally at a local meet or show I can place a bunch in a flat rate box. This would be by far the cheapest shipping option, even if one person had to individually mail them locally when they arrive. PM me and we can see what we can work out. I can sell the filters with or without magnets, most people want a magnet and to keep it simple I made the ebay auction all inclusive for 46.99...gasket, filter, and magnet. Any special orders please PM me.

Here are a few pictures of the finished filters, more pics in the ebay auction link above. Thanks everyone!!!

I know shipping to you guys is tough, I believe the shipping for one filter to the UK was a little over 10 dollars...for one filter!

Upgrade your Volvo to a real American V8!

Trawling the eBay at break time I spotted this gem of an automotive book-the Americans love throwing their home grown v8s into strange foreign vehicles, but this conversion would make one hell of a street sleeper!

  Dents and polishing
Posted by: marty - 06 Aug 2015, 22:35 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (12)

Hi,

I am in the market to get a few dents removed around the wheel arches and a full polish.

I would love to use PJ Grady but he is a fair old distance from me and thus that causes a few issues/costs.

I have found a stainless steel company near me:

They are the nicest bunch of very experienced guys and I want to use them because they are local and they clearly know what they are doing with stainless steel, what does anyone think?

Still spaces available if you want to attend.

Possibly arrive on foot, buy car in auction, then join in on the Delorean stand Wink

Ok, Ok. Just trying to fill the spaces on the stand.

Looked good quality, cost £795 for complete kit. Old news or am I on the cutting edge!!!
