Well hello again boys and girls...

The ever diverse Walton Bridge Breakfast Club is swinging into town again and it needs your support to make it as exciting and as interesting as it has always been so far!

Each meet just keeps getting better (and better, and better etc...) so please do come along and get involved with your car or just come along and have a peek to see what the WBBC is all about! Without you lot this meet would be nothing so thanks a million, you make this meet what it is and I really cannot ask for more than that (I mean that sincerely, I really do)...

Anyhow, enough of all that mumbo-jumbo!

Walton Bridge Breakfast Club is back YET AGAIN and I want ALL (and I do mean all) you wonderful people to come down in your equally wonderful old/unique/special motors...! You really do need to come along if you're into old/classic/retro/exotic/unique/rusty vehicles...

Come along to the tranquil riverside in Walton-on-Thames for some good old fried grub (Nothing but the best artery clogging nosh is served here folks), a mug of hot coffee and a chance to have a look at a superb and varied selection of wonderful classic and exotic vehicles of all persuasions...

This is just a little, local meet so all makes and types of classic and exotic vehicle are more than welcome to attend and that is what I encourage... Variation is the key here so please don't be shy (don't ever underestimate what you've got)! Cars, trucks, tractors, buses, motorbikes and boats (we are right by the river!!!) are all welcome if that's what you've got!!!

Please be aware that although the car park is pretty large other members of the public will be using it also so it is all based on a first come, first gets a space rule... This is why I've started the meet from 08:00hrs (the early bird catches the worm and all that)...!!!

Please drive carefully and responsibly in the car park as other people will be carelessly wandering around in there...!!! Safety is paramount so caution is the key... Keep your eyes peeled for people on foot as they won't keep their eyes peeled for you...!!! I cannot stress the importance of being sensible in the car park enough...

Bring your vehicle, bring your family, bring your friends (bring people waiting at the bus-stop if you want to!) and don't forget to bring a camera (or CamCorder!!!)...

So, please do spread the word far and wide and let everyone (and I mean everyone!) know about this meet as I want this to be another ruddy good one... The Walton Bridge Breakfast Club is here and it's here for people just like you!

See you there (I hope!)...

  Window motor fitting hell
Posted by: TheScAtMaN - 24 Jul 2015, 23:24 - Forum: 3 - Electrical - Replies (9)

Has anyone had experience fitting one into a drivers door?
I got a motor from the eurotec club shop but it didn't come with instructions or fittings so have been using these:
http://www.deloreaneurotec.uk/download/file.php?id=2892
I'm having a job getting the offset brackets and the mid point bracket to line anywhere like near to each other. See this pic:

Anyone have any clue/tips?
I've also managed to make my window come off the tracks which will be great fun putting back

  DMC ashtray wanted!
Posted by: bjbrownie - 21 Jul 2015, 22:23 - Forum: DeLorean Cars or Parts For Sale or Wanted - Replies (2)

Does anyone have a centre console ashtray spare to sell? Condition doesn't matter, even just the metal lower shell will do-I'm working on a project but I don't want to alter my good original ashtray.
I'll pay for postage-I know the Porsche 924 one is similar but ideally I'm after a De Lorean one, thanks 8)

VIN 1468 For Sale. North London
Posted by: Chris Williams - 20 Jul 2015, 20:50 - Forum: DeLorean Cars or Parts For Sale or Wanted - Replies (1)

I have been contacted by the executor of an estate. Imported to the UK in 2013 from Texas and has had power steering retro-fitted. At the moment details are a little sketchy but I understand it's a 5 speed car, black interior, 30K miles approx. They are looking for the very high 20's low 30's for it. (more probably 30+) I will post up more details/pictures if and when I get them but if any one is seriously interested then I can pass on details of the seller.

  DMCL Shipping Damage Oct 1981

Saw these photos on an ebay listing last week and thought they were interesting enough to share.

One of the ships taking DeLoreans to the east coast encountered 'Extremely Heavy storm weather' and damaged 15 cars!

Here are the pictures

  Coolant flush
Posted by: Rissy - 16 Jul 2015, 09:50 - Forum: 1 - Engine - Replies (3)

I've been working away on my car quite a bit over the past few weeks, and will be continuing right up until just before Lotus next month.

One of the things I did was drop all my coolant. I was replacing three hose sections, both at the radiator and the 45 degree angle one at the back right hand side beside the gearbox. So this is where my coolant was dropped from initially. I then pulled the plugs on either side of the engine to release everything in there too.

While I was at it, I pulled my expansion bottle off to try and fix a leak on it.

So now, before I reinstate my bottle, I was thinking of doing a complete flush through with the garden hose, since the system has been open to atmosphere for weeks and has only a small unaccounted amount of coolant left in it (maybe 1-1.5ltrs Max).

Is it possible to squirt water down the expansion bottle hose and expect water to come out of the water jacket plug on the RHS of the engine, or does the pump need to be turning for that to happen? (Presuming that this entry/exit choice would allow a complete system flush? (If not, then how?)

Thanks.
