Car Show/Boot Sale. Kings X. 17th April 2016 |

I hope you don’t mind me getting in touch. I’m sourcing content for a event and wondered if your club would be able to assist. Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th April 2016; a date for your diary and hopefully a chance for you and your DeLorean club members to display their pride and joys.
I've recently been appointed the position of guest vehicle curator at the Classic Car Boot Sale. This event, along with many others, is the brainchild of Wayne Hemingway MBE. In 2010 I worked alongside Wayne and his team, in a similar role, at the hugely successful festival Vintage at Goodwood. The well established Classic Car Boot Sale has outgrown the space on London’s South Bank. Therefore, for the second year, it’s stretching its wings at the ample space in and surrounding Lewis Cubitt Square at King's Cross.
The term Car Boot Sale is an umbrella title for what is a family-friendly celebration of all things vintage, collectible and upcycled. Vintage Festival DJs play a vinyl-only selection of 40s-80s tunes and aside from perusing the stalls, there are plenty of opportunities to dine, drink and dance. Like last year the festival will be linked with BOB (Best of Britannia) – another well established event that showcases the best of British manufacturing and products.
I’m also looking to encourage vehicles and owners from the My Cool… book series (to which I’m the author) to get together at this fantastic event. It has all the hallmarks of being a great day out with some fantastic vehicular eye candy.
I’m very much hoping you can assist in suggesting owners and vehicles, so they can be amongst the attractions for tens of thousands of appreciative design conscious people. Oh, and for those attending in a display capacity the entry fee is waved.
Please do take a look at the link below and either way reply showing your interest or not. Or if you’d prefer to chat on the phone, do let me have a contact number and a suitable time to call.

I am the Headteacher at Gosfield Community Primary school, Gosfield, Halstead, Essex and as the wife of a classic car enthusiast. Following of from the success of our show last year the school will be holding their Second Classic Car show. This is set to be on Saturday 21st May 2016 from 12-4pm, with cars needing to be on site at the latest of 11:30am.
As a local Authority School we are trying to raise funds to for the school. Last year our first Car Show raised over £2000 and this has allowed the children to have additional outside seating as well as gone towards blinds in the hall. The show attracted just over 40 classic cars and we are looking to build on last year.
We are a very pretty small school in a small village with a maximum of 140 children but desperately need funds for more creative areas of the curriculum.
The car show will also have; Hot food, music and other activities to entertain all ages.
Cars willing to show will not be charged to join us, we would just love you to join the fun and hopefully enthuse others!
As with last year we are looking to attract a variety of cars and bikes and would love to inspire the next generation of car enthusiasts! Therefore even if one or two from your club could make it, you will be made welcome and hopefully enjoy the day.
In terms of housekeeping due to the show being held on a school playing and sports field which is constantly used by children smoking and dogs are not allowed on any part of the site. If you are able to join us we also request that cars do not leave until the end of the Car Show for public safety reasons. I hope this does not deter you from sharing your cars.
Could you please reply to this address with names of people that would like to attend, makes of cars and registration numbers.
A huge thanks in advance for the children that you will be supporting.
Mrs Marianne Cartwright

Croydon Cambs Classic Vehicle Show
Sunday 2nd July - 12 to 4 pm
Calling all Classic Vehicle Owners & Enthusiasts to a Great Day Out
Once again we are most grateful to Danny Hopkins – Editor of Practical Classics – for his continued support and we are again looking forward to his unique vehicle parade commentary and Prize giving.
The Croydon Cambridgeshire Classic Vehicle Show has become a highlight in the regional summer calendar, yet it has retained its quaint charm and loyal following. Once again all monies raised will help our small village maintain its Village Hall and restore our beautiful mediaeval church of All Saints which sits alongside the show field and will form part of the day’s programme.
For those who don't already know, Croydon is a small village set on a hill in beautiful South Cambridgeshire countryside. The village lies about 7 miles north of Royston on the A1198 and about 1 mile west of Arrington. The show is held in a lovely setting and with lots of food, stalls, drinks, games, plants and arena activities there will be lots to do for the whole family, including parades of vehicles, commentary, judging and prizes.
Don’t worry about missing Wimbledon or the Grand Prix, these can be seen in the TV Marquee
Note Show Cars & Drivers enter FREE. Show car arrivals from 10.30 a.m. and before noon, please. No need to stay at home for breakfast as once again bacon butties and tea/coffee will be on offer near the signing in desk. It would be helpful to know of your attendance in advance as this will greatly assist with planning, though no one will be turned away on the day. Please reply using one of the methods indicated below.
A huge THANK YOU in anticipation of your support and please pass on our details to your friends!
With best regards
Malcolm Ralph – Vehicle Coordinator

Car Show, Gawcott Bucks 2nd July 2016 |

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to you as a representative of your motoring club to extend a warm invitation to you and your members to attend ‘The Buckingham Classic’ which is to be held on Saturday 2nd July 2016 in Gawcott, near Buckingham. The event is being organised by Buckingham Rotary Club as part of our charitable fundraising activities, but also aims to provide some fun, interest and entertainment for the public who are attending the event. Last year over £1000 was raised for charity, and the target is to beat that this year. We hope to have a really good display of classic, vintage, veteran or just plain unusual vehicles attending the event. As this is intended from the outset as a fund-raising event, there will be an entry fee of £8 for each classic vehicle attending. If owners wish to give a higher figure, this will be greatly appreciated.
I would be very grateful if you can publicise the event amongst your club membership as soon as possible, as summer dates rapidly get taken up. We really feel that “the more the merrier” applies here, as the location in Gawcott has lots of space. If a significant number of members from any given club wish to attend and to have their own parking area, this can be achieved if we have sufficient notice, and the numbers bringing their vehicles justify it. Full details of the event can be found on the Buckingham Rotary website (www.buckinghamrotary.co.uk ), but as a taster, in addition to the cars and motorcycles, there will be a pig roast, children’s entertainment, afternoon cream teas and an evening barbeque with live music. The poster giving full details of the Buckingham Classic event can be found on the main or home page, with a separate button on the same page providing the entry form; this should be printed and sent by post after completion to the main Event Organiser, David Jackson at the following address: 1 Villiers Close, Buckingham, MK18 1JH
Yours sincerely,
Matt Vincent

Due to changes in personal circumstances,
I'm selling my very sorted 1981, Grey, manual, grooved bonnet, Delorean.
It is UK registered.
Only 2 previous owners.
12months MOT.
Circa 38,000 miles.
An un-used excellent spare and jack type of car.
It spent the first 23 years of its life as a weekend driver, in the dry state of Nevada.
The second owner, a professional mechanic and car dealership owner, always kept it garaged.
As such, the chassis is in excellent condition.
Some of the things it has had........
New sport twin cat exhaust system.
New Braking system...
New Callipers, disc's and pads all round.
New brake lines.
New master cylinder.
New clutch lines.
New suspension system........
New lowered springs all round.
New adjustable DMC shocks.
New front lower control arms Nylon bushes.
New Uprated anti-roll bar Nylon bushes and brackets.
Rear trailing arms, bolts checked and tested.

New Alpine front speakers fitted.
New dash and rear light LED's fitted.
Retro Kenwood head unit with remote 10 CD stack in boot.
New 12 months MOT, with no advisories!
Bad bits...............
Cosmetically, This is a car that I and previous owners have used (best way of looking after them)
Over the past 35 years there have been a couple of little dings inflicted (I will post pic) and the dash top has a age related crack in it and the aircon, whilst all complete and working, needs regassing.
That's about it!
IMO, this is one of the best and tested DMC Delorean's available in this price range........
Last year I drove it down to Northern Italy without any issues. Down the fast Autobahns of Germany, Over the high passes of the Swiss Alps, in the hot (35*C) traffic jams of Milan or racing through the historic centre of Verona. Brilliant times!
It is priced to sell. £28,950.
