  Scene movie exhibition Blackpool
Posted by: Deloreanyorkshire - 28 Feb 2016, 17:25 - Forum: Northern England - No Replies

Hi guys

I'm involved in a months long movie exhibition at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. My BTTF replica will be part of the exhibition with a great BTTF set. If your into BTTF then this is not to be missed! The free photographs of the full size props alone will be worth a visit.  Smile

We will be advertising Sunday the 24 July as a movie car day and we would be honoured if some delorean car owners could make a trip up to the Winter Gardens to show the cars outside the venue.

You will of course get free tickets to get into the exhibition as a thank you and of course a great day in Blackpool  Big Grin

If any one is interested, please let me know

Cheers

Hope to see you in the future

  Parts wanted for handbrake
Posted by: OllieWilks - 27 Feb 2016, 13:32 - Forum: DeLorean Cars or Parts For Sale or Wanted - Replies (3)

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has the piece of carpet that goes over the handbrake (in black) and/or the handbrake gaiter/sheath that they would sell me?

Can't seem to find these parts anywhere?

Many Thanks

Ollie

  Strange Welding On Engine Block
Posted by: Chris Williams - 24 Feb 2016, 14:15 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (4)

Just been working on another engine that I pulled out of a running (perfectly well) Volvo 260 and as part of it I always clean and paint the block with glyptal paint. Anyhow I noticed whilst cleaning this one it has a couple of strange welds in two places on the block. This is not a normal place for them to go and having stripped it down there is no damage to the block so I was wondering why thy may be there? If done at the factory why?

  Door torsion bar adjustment
Posted by: Doive - 22 Feb 2016, 00:28 - Forum: 8 - Frame / Body / Interior - Replies (6)

Does anyone know any specialists in Scotland who could tackle our driver's side torsion bar? New struts all round, but the door is becoming increasingly reluctant to stay fully opened. Passenger side lifts unaided to full height, while driver side needs assisted from about half opened.

Dipped headlights deciding not to work!
Posted by: bjbrownie - 21 Feb 2016, 14:43 - Forum: 3 - Electrical - Replies (2)

The cars been running great but the other night I needed to put dipped beam on and it decided not to work-no fuses blown,no burning and the dips come on with the main beam fine,I have the DMC updated light switch fitted (5 amp  fuse) and have had no probs with it over the 2 years it's been in.
Took everything apart today,no loose connections etc, just no dipped beam.
Any ideas folks?
