Quote:Stonor Park Autumn Meeting of Classics, Sports and Supercars ~ 24th September 2023
Join us on Sunday 24th September for the inaugural Stonor Park Autumn Meeting in association with Charles Stanley — a celebration of motoring excellence featuring an exclusive display of automotive stars from historic racers to unique classics, sports cars and supercars, brought to you by leading vehicle event organiser, Classic Shows.

The pre-1980s classic car section will showcase some of the best vintage cars, with other classics and supercars displayed across Stonor’s grounds. Notable car clubs including Aston Martin are also exhibiting, welcoming new members and imparting their specialist knowledge.

Expect to see further vehicles in the pre-1970’s Classics and Sports Club sections located throughout the wider Stonor Park grounds. Commentators will interview vehicle owners and work with the judging team to identify the winners of a range of categories culminating in the Best Classic, Best Sports and Best Supercar awards.

All visitors and exhibitors will also have full access to Stonor Park, its formal gardens and Tumblestone Hollow included in their ticket price.

The event takes place from 10am – 5pm on Sunday 24th September.

The limited early bird tickets are available until later in the summer, costing £12.50 for children (2 – 15 years) and £18 for adults. Under 2s and carers enter for free. Demand is high, so visitors are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.
You can register your car here

NEC Classic Car Show 2023 11-13 Nov 2023 & AGM
Posted by: Chris Williams - 13 Jul 2023, 21:33 - Forum: DOC National Events, Car shows, AGM's and others - Replies (30)

It's got to that time of the year (again) where the organizers of the above event have confirmed stands for this years show. As ever I'm looking for people to very kindly volunteer to display cars/help with the stand Etc.
I know a few ideas were batted around last year regarding displaying historical items but logistics as ever seems to be the issue. It is a big commitment but as those who attend can vouch we are incredibly well received bu the public who love to visit the stand and cars.
Any suggestions are more than welcome
Chris
AGM Will be at 3.30 on Sunday 13th November, meet at club stand

Mini meet & tech sesh, Notts, Sat 15th July
Posted by: Guinney1971 - 09 Jul 2023, 20:41 - Forum: Midlands - Replies (1)

Hi all,

if anyone is interested in a 'mini meet' and tech sesh at our house in Nottinghamshire
next Saturday, then drop me a DM.

John Kennedy who owns DWU140W is driving down to see us (sans DeLorean) next Saturday,
and he'd love to meet some more owners and chat all things DeLorean.  I think so far we've got
Andy Westerman, Chris McGeachy and Rich Hanlon joining us, and possibly a new owner from
Matlock, but if anyone else wants to join us with our without a DeLorean, then the more the merrier!

If the weather is nice, I'll fire the bbq up too (if its not, I'll do pizzas, chips, nuggets, etc).

As I said, we're in Nottinghamshire, about 5 miles from J27 of the M1.  We've got a fairly decent driveway,
but space will be limited, so I might put my car out on the road to make more space.  Phill has a few jobs
to do on Sorbet, so a tinker session is definitely in order!

Big Grin BTTF Delorean in Shrewsbury

Hi all

I'm looking to hire a BTTF Delorean for a comic con in Shrewsbury next April (April 2024). Is there anyone local (or local-ish!) who can give me a quote?

Many thanks Smile

Hi All,

some of you may know via Facebook, that sadly Tris passed away earlier this week
after a long battle with illness.

Our thoughts are with his wife Joanne and his daughter Megan, and all his family and
friends at this sad time.

His DeLorean 'TCZ' has recently gone to a new owner near Mansfield, and remains in
the DOC-UK family.  Ironically, Tris driving TCZ is the Club calendar picture for this month.

A full tribute to Tris will be in the next issue of DeLorean News, which should be out
within the next few weeks.

RIP mate

Hi all,

There is/was a couple of Ds around these parts, but I'd never seen "DMC 99V" before. It was coming down Portsdown Hill (near QA Hospital) yesterday evening whilst I was heading home from work. Anyone know that car?

  Battery drain
Posted by: Justwatching - 02 Jul 2023, 14:58 - Forum: 3 - Electrical - Replies (7)

#1867 just killed its battery (as in, completely) which was only two years old. I've changed the cable connectors and robbed a battery off another car as the Really Retro show is only a week away. I'm getting a 24 milliamp draw (doors closed and unlocked) which reduces to 11 milliamp when I pull fuse 17 (cigar lighter and clock).

I gather DeLoreans were factory fitted with parasitic draw, but how much is normal?

Stock exhaust / cat for sale
Posted by: nasher - 02 Jul 2023, 09:40 - Forum: DeLorean Cars or Parts For Sale or Wanted - Replies (3)

I have removed my exhaust ready for a new stainless system, so the old one is up for sale.

The manifold gaskets were leaking and I can't see any leaks elsewhere.

This would be good for someone who only needs the silencer or cat.

open for offers on any part of this

CRAIG Radio issue - sound on one side
Posted by: Justwatching - 19 Jun 2023, 22:24 - Forum: 3 - Electrical - Replies (3)

I only get sound from the right (passenger side) speakers. The left speakers produce a faint "pop" when the radio is turned on, but that's it. There's continuity through the speaker terminals. Very low voltage signal through the wires (about .04 volts with radio on). I've removed the tuning/volume knobs, the nuts behind the knobs, and the faceplate. According to my workshop manual, I should remove the air vents above the radio. Unhelpfully, it gives no hints on how to do this. It's not obvious to me how the vents should be pushed/pulled/squeezed to release, so explanation appreciated.

Also, any ideas what the issue could be? Unless the problem just reveals itself to me, I'm not really sure what my plan is once I get the radio out.
