  METERING HEAD NUMBERING
Posted by: Chris Williams - 08 Jan 2007, 13:59 - Forum: 2 - Emission / Fuel Systems - Replies (6)

Hi,
Would any one have a picture of diagram of the metering head showing what every hole does? Ie; what feeds which injector etc etc, Only ask as I have replaced the fuel lines with Harveys S/S ones and according to the markings I made I'm correct however looking at his reference photo;

  Induction kits?
Posted by: Jonny Jones - 07 Jan 2007, 16:37 - Forum: 1 - Engine - Replies (5)

Hi all, not sure if this has been mentioned before (probably has) but how many of you actually use air induction kits on your engines? I mean im sure they would have to be bespoke in some way? Just wondering really, surely would increase performance, if only by a couple of bhp.

This is autoexpress's write-up of, what looks to be, the new flagship sports car from Mercedes. Am I right in saying Claire works for Benz'? Maybe she knows more?! :?:

  James May's Motormania Car Quiz
Posted by: mikesumner - 04 Jan 2007, 17:08 - Forum: Off topic talk, general chat etc - Replies (13)

Happy new year all,

while I've got a spare couple of minutes I just wanted to draw your attention to the above interactive DVD game, as it features a DeLorean.

The format is that you are given a particular car to start with and you answer questions that are read out by Mr. May (of "Top Gear" fame), and for every 3 you get wrong the car is downgraded slightly.

There are 5 categories of car you can choose (Super, Classic, Sports, Racing, and Muscle). If you choose Super Cars then you will start off with a Bugatti Veyron, which (if you get enough questions incorrect) will eventually become a DeLorean.

James May's comments about the DeLorean aren't really very kind but it's nice that the car features in the DVD at all, plus there are 2 pictures of it on the inside of the case as well.

The fact that the Porsche Cayman S is billed as a 911 did not escape me either, and is something I have contacted the makers of the game about. I know it's sad but if people like me don't point these little things out then who will.

Anyway, I just wanted to point it out in case anyone has got this for Christmas and not yet found the DeLorean (give more wrong answers and you soon will!).

Delorean Print..... the best christmas present!
Posted by: Emagine - 03 Jan 2007, 13:16 - Forum: Off topic talk, general chat etc - Replies (4)

Well I just thought I'd stick up some photo's of the best present I got this christmas.

I had a really nice pic taken of "Maddie" on one of the London Tunnel Runs and it was so good I asked for it to be blown up and printed as a christmas present.

Well.... as you will see from below the results are stunning. You probably can't quite see from the pics but its actually printed on brushed Aluminium. So where there are very light areas in the photo it actually has the grain like the car. It also reflects the light as you walk around the print.

If anyone is interested I could find out the price of getting some done for the club. This ones pretty huge, about 1.6m square.

first post from a sleeper newbie (just like to dream about D's for the time being).

Spotted an add for a XM V6 24valve, and if i remember reading correctly these are a possible option for an engine donor for a D but like hens teeth to find, so thought i'd pass it on here!
