  DOC YouTube channel
Posted by: theningiachicken - 15 Oct 2018, 09:15 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (16)

Hi all me and a friend had an idea earlier last week about the club having a YouTube channel for anything from events to maintenance videos also it could help for putting them into posts as the link could be put into the post, another point we had was as the channel grew YouTube would start to pay the channel owner which in turn could benefit the club.
Let me know your guys opinion on this idea

  Wanted - Door mirror motor
Posted by: MML - 07 Oct 2018, 00:23 - Forum: DeLorean Cars or Parts For Sale or Wanted - Replies (2)

Would anyone have a working one of these lying around? I don't need the whole mirror, just the tilting mechanism. I opened one up to see if it could do with a rebuild, but I seem to have broken part of the casing in the process. As a result it won't stay sealed.

  Dublins done deal Delorean !!!
Posted by: Dave M - 06 Oct 2018, 22:05 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (3)

It's now been exactly a year since I viewed the Delorean in an underground car park in Dublin town centre - I was in the position of purchasing a car summer 2017 so I joined the owners club and the eurotec forum - and was keeping an eye out for any cars coming up for sale - then on the eurotec forum there was talk of a possible scam on the car advertised on the Irish version of eBay "done deal ".
The seller just put library pics on the advert and none of the actual car itself - I live at the end of west wales near the ports of Fishguard and Pembroke so would have been fairly easy to pop across on ferry for the 3 hour crossing but then another 3 hour drive to Dublin - but hang on a minute - I got a mate that lives over there ----- 5345 was going to have  a new home across the water - - - - - - to be continued ---------

East Mids Xmas Meet up - 50's American Diner, Sat 8th December 2018
Posted by: Guinney1971 - 05 Oct 2018, 12:33 - Forum: Midlands - Replies (29)

I know its only October, but the C word will be upon us before we know it...…

I'm thinking ahead to our annual get together in the East Midlands, and where to go, do
folks fancy a return visit to the 50's American Diner near Swadlincote in Derbyshire?

Don't think that this event is for us Midlanders only, everyone is welcome, Ben from South
Wales often makes the long journey up to join us, so the more the merrier!

Its handy for the A50/A38/M1 and I know it was a popular venue when we visited for our
Xmas meet up in 2011 (yes it really was 7 years ago!).

Can folks have a think about what dates would be suitable and if they fancy meeting here
so that I can get it booked?  I probably cant do the weekend of 8/9th December as there is
a family birthday then, but maybe we could do the weekend of 1st/2nd or 15th/16th?

  DOC-UK 2019 Calendar
Posted by: Guinney1971 - 02 Oct 2018, 17:37 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (18)

yes folks, its that time of year again where I start pestering for decent photos for next years Club Calendar.

I need to crack on with it in the next week or so, so that I can get them printed and delivered in time for the NEC in November.

So, if you have any decent photos (hi res if possible please), then email them over to treasurer@deloreans.co.uk

I'd rather have too many then too few, as I can carry them over to 2020  Big Grin

DeLorean Wanted (Stoke area) BBC Children in Need
Posted by: Guinney1971 - 02 Oct 2018, 17:11 - Forum: TV/Film Hire and Work Requests - No Replies

Hello,

Hope this finds you well?

I am a producer at BBC Radio Stoke - we are running a very special Children in Need 50 Ways in 50 Days Challenge for our presenters.

They will attempt to use 50 different ways of moving forward from a Bentley, trains & pogo sticks to classic cars & shopping trolleys.  At the sound of a horn they'll have 24-hours to complete a mystery challenge.

Have you got any Delorean owners in Staffordshire and Cheshire who’d be up for getting in touch?

They would take lots of pictures and videos for social media and you’d have a piece go out on Radio Stoke. I wondered if you’d like to jump on board?

Sarah.
