Looks like it's riding at original height which I don't like and interior looks a little tired however other than that sounds good, when I first saw this car advertised I thought it was pricey (some time ago) but as prices have risen it now looks more viable. He is local to me, it mentions Chris Nicolson has worked on the car also. Car is just a few miles from me which is very convenient also.

Hello there, I'm Jake from Southampton and I'm interested in buying a dream!! but I'm not sure if my 6'4 build will allow me to comfortably drive a Delorean, Ideally I'm looking for chums to meet and actually chin wag about deloreans who might let me check for snugness....

Hire of Delorean for school prom
Posted by: PAC - 21 May 2015, 22:23 - Forum: TV/Film Hire and Work Requests - Replies (1)

Hi
Was wondering how much it would be to hire a car to transport my son to his school prom. It is on 25th June and would be going from Hucknall, Nottingham to the Goosedale venue on the outskirts of Hucknall. If I could get a quote to see if this is feasible and affordable I would be grateful.

Sheringham Classic Car Show Sunday 7th June 2015
Posted by: Chris Williams - 21 May 2015, 20:32 - Forum: East Anglia - No Replies

Dear Classic Car Owner

Further to our previous email, I am writing to remind you that our Classic Car & Bike Show takes place on Sunday 7th June between 11.am & 4.pm. As in previous years this event has been a great success and it has grown to accommodate collectively more than 500 cars and bikes. The town centre from the main High Street to the seafront, including Wymondham Street & Gun Street, will be closed for the event.

We still have availability, and we trust you have received the entry form.

We look forward to seeing you on 7th June, and should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards

  BTTF JVC camcorder clones!
Posted by: bjbrownie - 21 May 2015, 12:32 - Forum: Back To The Future - No Replies

Everyone knows the JVC GR-C1 that Marty used in the first film, but did you know other camcorder companies used the design when making their own? Two German companies used the design in the mid 80s, Telefunken & the lesser known Saba both had their own versions.
Quality and finish was a lot better on the German versions than the Japanese one, they looked more business like especially the Telefunken with the briefcase carrier-Saba just used the JVC plastic one but smoothed out.
Both of the German ones work perfectly, the Saba having the instructions in German unsurprisingly. 8)
PS and I know the carry handles are the wrong way around!

Save money and time replacing those expensive head gaskets after you've lost all of your coolant and fried the engine-this stuff is the biz!!

Stainless expansion tank and fuel sender unit wanted
Posted by: OllieWilks - 20 May 2015, 13:34 - Forum: DeLorean Cars or Parts For Sale or Wanted - Replies (5)

Hi All,

I just wondered if anyone had, or could point me in the direction of how to get a stainless expansion tank? I know Ed sells them but wondering if there was a cheaper supplier? Had a couple of plastic ones and both cracked below the cap.

Also has anyone got a new fuel tank sender unit? Probably not but though I'd ask?

Cheers

Ollie

Wirral Classic Car Show,17th May 2015
Posted by: bjbrownie - 18 May 2015, 18:27 - Forum: Northern England - Replies (2)

This show appears to be attracting more cars every year-a brilliant selection of cars from all motoring eras (and a few lovely old motorbikes) were here. Turn up before 12 midday and your cars entered for the show prizes, the DMC won 1st prize in the 1972 on classics group, there were many other worthy cars in that group too.
It didn't rain so it was a bonus, loads of interest in the De Lorean so I never sat down for quite some time! It's amazing to think that a lot of these excellent vehicles are based locally to me and one RS 2000 owner admitted he didn't take the car out enough-real shame as it looked superb with its factory X Pack wide wings and Ford alloys combined with a bright yellow paint job would brighten anyone's day!
A really good day out for anyone into cars, and there were plenty.
