Driving through Chorlton yesterday and spotted a GTO at the lights, looked really nice actually. What exactly did JZD do on them? are there many in the UK?

AFAIK, John DeLorean took the Pontiac Tempest, made it into a 2dr and shoved a big engine up front and created one of the early 'muscle cars' - others were soon to come along, including the Dodge Charger, Ford Mustang, etc, etc

I've got a model of one that I bought a Beaulieu a few years ago, but the only one I've ever seen was at the Matching Green Show in Essex a couple of years ago (well I think it was a GTO... but it had been slightly modded). Dont know about numbers in the UK, but I'm sure if there is a UK Pontiac Club they would be able to let you know?
