GTO! - dmcscott2002 - 16 Jun 2007 Driving through Chorlton yesterday and spotted a GTO at the lights, looked really nice actually. What exactly did JZD do on them? are there many in the UK? - Guinney1971 - 16 Jun 2007 AFAIK, John DeLorean took the Pontiac Tempest, made it into a 2dr and shoved a big engine up front and created one of the early 'muscle cars' - others were soon to come along, including the Dodge Charger, Ford Mustang, etc, etc I've got a model of one that I bought a Beaulieu a few years ago, but the only one I've ever seen was at the Matching Green Show in Essex a couple of years ago (well I think it was a GTO... but it had been slightly modded). Dont know about numbers in the UK, but I'm sure if there is a UK Pontiac Club they would be able to let you know? This is the car I saw at Matching Green - I *think* its a GTO..... :wink:
