I almost purchased Johns car back in 2012 when he was still unsure whether to sell or not. We couldn't agree a price so nothing came of it, but I had a chance to view the car in person and go out for a drive as passenger.
Very tidy car as the pictures show and ran very nicely.

For better visibility, and since it's not really an eBay car, I will start a new thread for John's car.

Not sure on the reserve but may be a good project?

That's the same Turbo charger set up that wrecked Frenchy's original engine. I hope this car doesn't have the same problem…..

Looking at the fascia on that car is the best example of a 'Roger Moore' I've ever seen

Will be interesting as to where the bidding gets to or if we get to see the reserve price.
What would you be willing to gamble?
For me its about there already. Thoughts?

advert is a bit bab to be honest, it looks alright i think id pay quite a bit more than what it is at now, he just seems a bit too pushy to flog abroad so that triggers a few alarm bells to me, will be interested to see what this goes for...

Agreed, covering all bases with this: engine turns free but will need some check up before starting
Its been sitting for awhile but ran when parked!!!
But still may be a good project car for someone.

I'd be happy to pay about £15k in today's market. Not that I'm looking for another car!

It was recently at our old friends' BHCC
http://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1981 ... c-4102.htm
where they listed it for $15750.
As always with BHCC, they never say whether it runs or not. And now we have that old chestnut "ran when parked"
Interesting that the ebay lister, presumably the BHCC buyer, has put it straight on ebayUK and not ebayUS

Haha, Seen what a nightmare he's bought and now wants it as far away from him (come backs) as possible!!
Or am I just cynical?
