DeLorean's For Sale On Ebay, Updated as They Appear. - Chris Williams - 21 Mar 2013 Classified ad this time @ 25k Leeds area. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DELOREAN-DMC- ... 4ac2ae60b9 Re: Another DeLorean on Ebay - Guinney1971 - 21 Mar 2013 I recognise that car, I think those pics were taken in Scarborough and the car is owned by a Club/Forum member - its only because the owner (if it is the same person) sent me some pics very much like that for the 2014 Club calendar. Re: Another DeLorean on Ebay - crossland86 - 17 Apr 2013 I see this car has been relisted. Anyone know any more about it? A decent car? The going price of a "good running UK DeLorean" seems to be slowly creeping up from 18-20k last summer towards 25k... RHDs were 30k seem to be closer to 35k now. I know I raised the agreed valuation of my car in September last year from what I had paid for the car to £24k. No quibbles or questions from my insurance for it either. I just gave a listed run down of work done to the car since first purchasing it in 2004, and that seems to have satisfied them. Got a certificate etc. Re: DeLorean's For Sale On Ebay, Updated as They Appear. - jamespi - 06 Aug 2013 I agreed a value of 15k on mine (my own first suggestion) with Adrian Flux - have I undersold it a bit? My interior is a bit of a dog's dinner, the engine bay is grubby and the block is coated in corrosion, the aircon is scrap, there's no stereo (the craig is in a box in bits) and the car seems to need some fuel injection troubleshooting but the exterior is spangly. I think one of the most important aspects is to ensure you can retain the car in the event of a claim, it would be criminal to have your pride and joy snatched away from you because it was not financially viable to repair. Also honesty is the best policy I have my car valued at £19k because I truly believe that to get it to mint condition by going through the whole car with a fine tooth comb circa £22,000 would take £3-4k of parts and labour work. I had to send photo for the agreed valuation and as with all insurance sign various disclaimers about the condition so no point bending the truth too much. I just realised I said 2004! ha-ha! should have been 2009. Dunno where THAT came from. 2004 is when I moved to Rugby, so maybe that was it. James, the value of these cars HAS gone up, by about £2,500 - £3,000 over the past 4 years or so, at least. I don't know when you bought your car, but you should raise it's insured value accordingly. If it's in the same condition as you bought it, then this is the typical increase. Anything more, improvement wise, and you can add more depending on the "upgrades". That's the good thing with D's. Despite the actual state of them, they normally always do look "spangly"....which is good! Re: DeLorean's For Sale On Ebay, Updated as They Appear. - Chris Williams - 09 Aug 2013 This ones back on in the UK requiring some work: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DELOREAN-MANU ... 511wt_1328 Chris Re: DeLorean's For Sale On Ebay, Updated as They Appear. - Chris Williams - 19 Aug 2013 Nice Car needing a little work: Ebay item No: 321187554627 Plus Luke's stunning BTTF car: Ebay item No: 130970996380 Chris Re: DeLorean's For Sale On Ebay, Updated as They Appear. - Rissy - 19 Aug 2013 Well Luke didn't last long.....? What's going on Luke? Fed up already? Re: DeLorean's For Sale On Ebay, Updated as They Appear. - SteveyP - 20 Aug 2013 Yes 321187554627 looks like a very nice car indeed. Has some small fuel issue to resolve though - which is the reason for the sale? The description (especially a detailed one of all the work completed) and the photos included need to be far more comprehensive for me though. That's if he/she wants to sell it with this fuel problem. Looks a potentially good buy. There appears to be a few DeLoreans showing up lately in the UK. Seemingly few of them selling for the money people want though? |
