Where's Wilton House? If we're free, we could try and come along if its not too far from here.
Ah ha - I'm on PH too under the same username
Link for Wilton House is here - http://www.wiltonhousesupercars.co.uk/
It's a good day out, but not sure if you might find it a bit too far to come? It's down south, near Salisbury, about 30 miles from Southampton!

erk, it could be a bit of a strain on the old purse strings as we're off
to Tatton Park the week after, then we're off to France in the Avi and
then its the DOC meet the weekend after that 8)

Not to worry, it is pretty far down South, and I understand your purse strings concerns!
There's always next time

well, its just over 2 weeks to go now, and things are coming
together nicely
A few of us in the Midlands group are pondering a nice scenic drive
somewhere when we leave Crich for anyone who doesnt want to
go straight back to the hotel.
Anyway, today I'm going up to Crich in Flopsy for a photoshoot to promote
the event, and (bigger news stories permitting), the BBC will be along to
do some filming over the course of our event too.
The trophies for Peoples Choice and Furthest Travelled are on their way,
so remember to check your mileage readings before you leave home!
Mary will be bringing some regalia with her to the event, so if you need
anything give her a call and she can hopefully bring it up for you.

had a nice afternoon with Laura and the people at Crich, they are really
looking forward to the event - especially when they saw the reaction that
my car got driving down the tram tracks towards the old Derby Assembly
Rooms building lol
They have said the Time Travel theme is a goer, and told me that there
will be Daleks, etc, there on the day too
Here's a few pics I took earlier:
someone had a tiring afternoon anyway! lol
lets just hope the weather is as nice in September as it was today

Hi all - There is the possibility of a photographer coming to take some rather unusual photographs of this meet-up, take a look at his website, it's very interesting. I can see the DeLorean fitting into this style very well - and of course, we'd be using the shots for the magazine and general publicity. They're night shots so if he is coming and a few of you are around the hotel in one of the evenings, you can have your car photographed in this highly original style. If one or two of you can reply, would be good then I can let him know that he'll be able to take some pictures if he comes. Here's his email (some of you got this):
"My name is Christopher Benbow, I am from Crewe, and I am a night photographer/light painter. I take very surreal photos at night using specialist lighting techniques and have been regarded as one of the best in the world, I have won and been nominated for many awards. I am the owner of my company (Noctography) and I usually photograph abandoned vehicles, planes, trains and buildings but I am currently being booked to photography cars at night and was wondering if you would be interested in letting me photograph any of your cars somewhere that is convenient for everyone, could even be a group event for you guys, I usually charge for my services but I would do this for free of course because of my love for these cars and I shall give you a disc including all of the photos from the night. If you would like to see any of my work to get an idea of what I'm talking about you can find it at either: www.noctography.co.uk or www.flickr.com/light_painter "

for anyone who doesnt need hotel accomodation, but it still joining in with the events,
can you please be at the hotel for 9.30am on the Saturday and Sunday, as I'd like us
to be ready to set off by 10am for the venues.
For the Saturday meal, I have asked the hotel to have the table ready for 7.30-8.00pm,
we will have our own private dining room that night, however Friday will be a more casual
thing and you can eat where you wish in the restaurant.
When you arrive at the hotel, please tell the reception staff that you are with the DeLorean
group, and they will give you an envelope with details of the weekends activities and maps
of where we are going (that I spent all yesterday working on ) I'll be there Friday evening
until about 6.30pm or so (then I'll have to get Kezia home and fed and ready for bed), but
Mike and Mary Hooper will be there to keep an eye on you all
I cant promise perfect weather this weekend sadly, but I hope you all have a great time
none the less.
