Weetbix ad's circa 1985-6

I was reading my old pile of Zoid comics over the weekend (for the first time in 15 years, honest!) and the edition published on my 12th birthday in 1986 (1st November) had an advert for the well known (at least in the UK) Weetabix breakfast cereal. The characters in these ad’s were very well known at the time. The first BTTF film was still hot and probably still on at the cinemas in the UK at that time…

The only way Weetabix is edible is if you cover it in so much sugar that it forms a solid inch-thick crust and completely masks the taste of the actual cereal.

I beg to differ Rob, there is nothing in the cosmos that can make Weetabix edible. :lol:

For me, its up there with muesli and porridge in the "guaranteed to make you gag while eating it" stakes :lol:

Glad to see I'm not the only non-fan of Weetabix. Hey Chris, when you were 12 I was one year old and had never heard of BTTF or the DeLorean. Strange to have a car older than I am!

Edit: Pretty sure I remember the anthropomorphic Weetabixes though.

Its got to be Golden nugget for me. Oh by the way anyone who's looking for a good glue. The Weetabix milk and sugar thats left in the bowl waiting all day to be washed up has the adhesive qualities of Grip fill.
