Weetbix ad's circa 1985-6 - Chris Hawes - 13 Mar 2007 I was reading my old pile of Zoid comics over the weekend (for the first time in 15 years, honest!) and the edition published on my 12th birthday in 1986 (1st November) had an advert for the well known (at least in the UK) Weetabix breakfast cereal. The characters in these ad’s were very well known at the time. The first BTTF film was still hot and probably still on at the cinemas in the UK at that time… - MikeH - 13 Mar 2007 wow thats awsome - Jonny Jones - 13 Mar 2007 Wicked haha nice find Chris! Mate at uni gets a new comic every week! We're all kids at heart! - Rottbott - 14 Mar 2007 The only way Weetabix is edible is if you cover it in so much sugar that it forms a solid inch-thick crust and completely masks the taste of the actual cereal. - Chris Hawes - 14 Mar 2007 I never said I was a fan of the hay tasting mush... Rob, I raise my hat to your solution  - Jonny Jones - 14 Mar 2007 Special K for the win! - Guinney1971 - 14 Mar 2007 Rottbott Wrote:The only way Weetabix is edible is if you cover it in so much sugar that it forms a solid inch-thick crust and completely masks the taste of the actual cereal. I beg to differ Rob, there is nothing in the cosmos that can make Weetabix edible. For me, its up there with muesli and porridge in the "guaranteed to make you gag while eating it" stakes  - Rottbott - 14 Mar 2007 Jonny Jones Wrote:Special K for the win!Special K ftl imho tbqh. Glad to see I'm not the only non-fan of Weetabix. Hey Chris, when you were 12 I was one year old and had never heard of BTTF or the DeLorean. Strange to have a car older than I am! Edit: Pretty sure I remember the anthropomorphic Weetabixes though. - Dan Howarth - 14 Mar 2007 Its got to be Golden nugget for me. Oh by the way anyone who's looking for a good glue. The Weetabix milk and sugar thats left in the bowl waiting all day to be washed up has the adhesive qualities of Grip fill. - Guinney1971 - 14 Mar 2007 Dan Howarth Wrote:Oh by the way anyone who's looking for a good glue. ROFL!!!!!     - Bandit - 14 Mar 2007 No way, its got to be Crunchy Nut Cornflakes!! - alexadams1 - 15 Mar 2007 I managed to find this over the net, dont know where from though... |
