Im restoring a D, and it came without the engine, so im putting a volvo 760 engine into it, but noticed the crankcase is different, the engine mounts are different on the 760 crankcase. do i need to get hold of a Delorean crankcase?? Really need some advise please.

Basically does it look like a DeLorean engine?? If not it probably is a different later version V6. If it looks like a DeLorean engine you should just need to move over your origional sump and sandwich plate (the bit that sits between the sump and block) and lots of other bits and bobs, including engine mounts and remove/add plugs in the sides of the block for oil pressure stuff.
Pictures may help.

If you haven't got *anything* where the engine should be, you're a bit stuffed, because you need the crank case, sump and all the oil pickup gubbins, plus the flywheel, clutch etc.
I have a couple of lower crank cases and several flywheels, but I don't have a sump or the oil pickup spacers spare.
I also have an entire running, known good DeLorean engine with 16k miles on it - pm me if interested.

Having had a chat on the phone tonight I did not realise you did not have an engine to rob bits from. In this case as Martin mentions it may take time to get all the bits together but probably not impossible!
