hi all
how is this removed tried a screwdriver, pull back the lock clips, just refuses to budge.
not sure though how it engages. this is the only thing stopping me removing the alternator.
mine is original ducellier, and wanted to get it reconned.
however is there in the UK a drop in equivalent with exactly the same wiring?.
desperate to get that MOT.
thankyou for any help.
Regards
Steve

the worse thing you can do is snap the connector, me personally would cut it near the connector and work on it away from the car, worse way you only have to solder and heat shrink it TT

Anything that had the alternator upgrade service bulletin carried out would have had this plug snipped anyway.
The ones Martin G does still use the brown wire to the positive feed for the alternator on a narrow spade terminal. The other wire (wider spade terminal) goes to the dashboard warning light.
If the voltage rectifier has popped on yours then good luck with the recon, I think they're unobtanium :?
