  Stainless exhaust system?
Posted by: SpudMurphy - 04 Oct 2017, 08:48 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (7)

I'm looking into the future as my car is not ready for a new exhaust just yet.

But what recommendations are out there for an exhaust system :-

  • No cat
  • including stainless steel manifolds
    Any deals to be had?Cheers

  two headscratchers!
Posted by: SpudMurphy - 02 Oct 2017, 22:15 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (1)

Headscratcher 1
In the engine bay is this currently unused plug.
Any clues on what should be plugged into it?

Headscratcher 2
In the left pontoon is a redundant pipe
[Image: PA021883.jpg]
The charcoal cannister has an orifice on the top which on mine is blanked off. I believe it says "carb bowl"

Here's a picture showing the orifice is blanked

got my head scratching ????

Hi,

Does anyone have a rear fascia going spare in the UK?

Not too bothered about condition.

Decent shape more important than finish.

Hope someone can help.

You can see it here

I'll get a conventional post loaded up here tonight.

Thanks to Chris for contacting me too - a wealth of info. I just wish that he lived closer to Cardiff!!!

For those of you with Facebook please check out my page about my Delorean model collection:

https://www.facebook.com/deloreanmodelcollector/

I have over 165 models in the collection and its growing all the time, just a shame I don't currently have a 1:1 scale.

Thanks for looking.

  Clutch Master Seal Kit
Posted by: Nick H - 15 Sep 2017, 21:19 - Forum: 4 - Transmission - Manual & Automatic - Replies (12)

Just a heads up that I found a rebuild kit for the clutch master cylinder. I have not had to touch mine since I got the car 18 years ago but recently noticed a weep of fluid from it.
I remember rebuilding a friends with a kit from Martin (I think) back in the day.

Anyway got a kit from these guys for £14

Part number SP2139

Cover boot is different but will fit even though it's tricky.

Hi all - I've posted in some of the other threads but thought I'd start a thread to help track any progress I make (if any!)

Have wanted to do this for last 10 years, and finally in a position to actually do something about it.

I think what I want is a black, manual, grooves. I know those all come with gas flap, which I'm not sure if I'll like or not - can always change later on.

I've seen a few listed about - the one in Manchester feels quite expensive to me considering it needs a lot of bits done - the guy did say he is open to offers so I might explore.

I have always dreamed of importing one though - but maybe the dream and reality are not so aligned from a stress perspective! Also the exchange rate doesn't make it as good a deal these days, but you never know what you can find.

I think I want one that does need work - stuff I can do (always willing to learn) - but I also know my limits so extensive frame work etc would be another expense which is probably best avoided? Guess it depends on the price.

Anyways, if you happen to come across one you think might fit the bill, let me know!

Cheers!

Priesh

I've seen a Manchester gathering mentioned a few times - when is it? I can't seem to see the thread, but I'm sure I'm just being a bit stupid. Not sure I'll be able to travel that far over the next few weeks but would be good to know the details
