  MOT
Posted by: Paul McKay - 05 Mar 2007, 15:19 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (11)

My Delorean passed its MOT today on the first trip to the garage Big Grin

Initially though it failed on the emissions test, but passed when the guy ran it again. My car has not been driven since Sept 2005, and just started on occassions. I guess i am putting it down to not having had a good run.

The CO level was 3.52%, which is still a bit high..am i right? The HC level was 110ppm.

The car is also running a bit rich, sitting at about 9 (whatever that is) the guy said, again he put it down to the car not been running for a while.

I am however going to get my system checked out.

Has anyone ever been snapped by a Speed Camera in their DeLorean?

If so, did the Police actually give you a ticket or let you 'on your way'?

DeLorean design inspiration for the McLaren F1?
Posted by: Jonny Jones - 04 Mar 2007, 20:34 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (3)

Was watching one of numerous Top Gear DVD's last night, and Murray Walker was racing round a track in a McLaren F1 and it struck me how VERY similar the electric window surround is to that of the ones used on the DeLorean.

Just a random thought for you all!

lower window felt, tips to replace?
Posted by: steve.s - 03 Mar 2007, 23:23 - Forum: 8 - Frame / Body / Interior - Replies (11)

hi

finally managed to get my inner door panel off.

now, while i'm here

is it worth sorting the door solenoid or shall i disconnect?

what is it best to replace the lower window felt with?.

i gather it is just glue on, so remove the upper support to it perhaps?

anyone know i near equivalent that i could glue on?.

thanx again

That thought crossed my mind too. It would loose the grain of the steel though :? Interesting to see how it would turn out.

Please allow me to introduce myself....

Greetings!

I thought I'd join this merry band as I've always had a soft spot for the old DeLorean and I'm also a fan of the PRV engine. I'm a Volvo man at heart with a 960 as my daily driver, but I do have a B27E engined 262C (for sale at the mo) and a B280E engined 760GLE which I've converted to manual (believed to be the only B280E manual in the world). I thought I'd see what you folks are up to with regard to upping the power on the venerable PRV and if anyone has ideas specific to the EFI versions.

I've met a few of you before at the Belper Steam and Vintage Weekend (mysteriously held in Duffield!) last year and had a natter about various things. I've only one pic of the D's and it's not too good, but here it is anyway......

Anyway, hopefully I can be of assistance to you with regard to Volvo knowledge and parts supply, and you to me with regards mods to the PRV.

TTFN
