Posted by: Paul Mac - 20 Jun 2007, 16:28 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (27)

Hi everyone, i'm new Smile

I'm currently saving for a DMC 12 and hope to have enough money to purchase one next year, I was wondering if the people who have imported theirs from the US - did you go and have a look at the car personally before purchase?

Hi all, not new to the club, but first time on the forum, have after much soul searching decided its time for my Delorean to go. I have sent details to Mike Bosworth, with some specs and specific instructions. Basically its a grey auto that need some final finishing, with all the hard work done. runs drives stops, prob only needs fog lamp for test, very very low recorded milage! Dave Howarth knows of the car, and some details as well, but please dont contact him or Mike unless you are genuinly interested, as thier time is valuble, and i do not want lookers or messers, it is not going for peanuts, nor is it a silly price, just want back somewhere close to what ive spent, which is probably more than i really think, but i dont want to add it up or i will be upset! best regards Nick.

  Metering head issues.......
Posted by: Chris Williams - 19 Jun 2007, 17:39 - Forum: 2 - Emission / Fuel Systems - Replies (25)

Ok!
Just started to change over all the fuelling pack to match up with the stage 2 engine I have installed. To get the car running before eurotec I had reinstalled all the standard DeLorean fuel system.
Anyway I had sent away to be refurbed (KMI) a metering head and matching air regulator, all back OK. From a Volvo 260. Anyway came to start moving everything over today (new injectors Etc Etc) and I have noticed that the Volvo metering head is lacking the outlet (or inlet) for the frequency valve. Not sure which way it flows. There is a dedicated inlet (or outlet) and the return (or feed) goes to the fuel return outlet.
Basically should I return to the stock metering head, or dump the frequency valve . If I dump it (not that I know what it actually does!) do I need to do anything else.
Hope the above all makes some kind of sense. Shock if not I will try to clarify more.
Thanks
Chris

Hi-ya everybody, a very close lady friend of mine who comes from a back ground of aristocracy wishes to join our club. Her name is Antonia Hoof-hearted, and she has been a secret Delorean admirer for years. We became friends because she new I was a Delorean owner, alias though, we could take our friendship no further because of her background. Her father who's a lord, would not allow her to fraternise with me because I am middle class scum. But we used to secretly meet so she could ride in my 'D', and in return she used to give me 'special' favours. I'd like everybody to welcome Antonia to our great club.

Need help with linking two PC's!? Arrrrgggh!
Posted by: Chris Hawes - 18 Jun 2007, 18:32 - Forum: Off topic talk, general chat etc - Replies (6)

Assuming both PC's are at the same home address you could have one wireless router that is connected to your phone line. If one of the PC's is sat near the router it could be hardwired to the router. If not you will need a wirelss network card installed in each of the PC's so that they can talk to the router. Once connected you can transfer files between the systems!

Bluetooth isn't recommended for this type of configuration due to the limited range and data per second that can be transmitted.

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Products ... bnails=yes

The above shows routers with variety of wireless adapters to connect to the PC. Shopping around will allow you find the best setup for your needs. If you don't require your online activity to be high end (eg online games/streaming video) then don't go with the fastest as you won't see much benefit and your wallet will take more of a hammering.

Hope this helps.
