I've had some excellent submissions this year, and whilst the calendar for 2020 has been designed and
is 'ready to go', I'm holding back as the prices have gone up by around 30% from last year, so I'm currently
negotiating with the supplier and also looking into alternatives.
I'll update the forum and DOC Facebook page when I have more info, I'll be looking to order 50 wall calendars
once again, and they will be on a first come first served basis.
There is a possible D Project available for sale, it would really only suit a restorer with the skills to do it:
Good points:
Bodywork done by ChrisN, it's in the UK and every thing's paid for.
Bad Points,
Not running, no engine but a replacement would be provided, needs a body off to strip/repair the chassis or deal with any surface rust in-situ. It is however a solid chassis/needs a full interior re-trim/needs a new windscreen
Roof box is OK, This is not a project that would be done in a few weekends, but it is one of those rare things a UK project. I would rather not post the sellers details myself (not me!) but I know they are on the forum. If someone is genuinely interested please contact me in the first instance and I will pass on your details unless the owner pops up!
Chris
My names Lee and I've been a fan of the BTTF films since there release and always dreamed of owning a Delorean. Still remember the first time I saw a D when I was around 14 years old down in Cornwall. It was parked on a garage roof!! My father asked the owner if I could have a photo next to it. From that moment I knew 1 day I would have to own one.
Located in the West Midlands and we've just bought a new home with alarge garage so it now time to fill it with a Delorean!
Been watching the listings over the past few years and I feel I'll get a better deal if I ship from the US. Whats everyone's thoughts on this?
Looking for a grey interior, would prefer an auto but happy with a manual if the price is right!
I am on the search for a new Manual Transmission end cap. The one which covers the 5th gear assembly at the end of the gearbox. Part no. 103048.
I know this is a long shot.
Mine has suffered the 5th gear retaining nut damage some years ago, and was repaired before my ownership, but after having it off the car to do a lip seal replacement, upon proper inspection, it appears to be hairline fractured, and leaks oil quite badly, even with the fact it's been welded previously, and it's smothered in metal putty to try to hold it together.
The only solution from the vendors appears to be BUY A WHOLE NEW TRANSMISSION, which is a bit sledgehammer for my needs, so before I start saving my pennies, I thought i'd ask around.
Had an email from someone looking for a car in London for a commercial shoot this month.
Quote:So the car would be used for a River Island Christmas shoot from 29-31/7. Location is in Omega Studios. It will need to be dropped off at the location on 29/7 and be picked up again on 31/7 evening. On the day we don't need any extra people there to look after the car because it is going to be static. Please let me know if this would work for you and the quote for this.
Obviously I've told them that an owner will likely want to stay with the car and that they should factor that into the price.
Contact Erin at wingmanerintse@gmail.com with photos of your car if you fancy it.
I have a 1981 grey manual that I have been working on ,
Body perfect , engine perfect , lots done , Seats recovered , all the interior requires doing , All stripped out, I also have a complete seal kit that requires fitting also , No time to complete , Any ideas of a guide price I might get , Trying to determine if I should try and finish or offload,
I sent issue 84 out today so with any luck will be with everyone by the weekend. Another fab magazine very well put together and looks fab. Thanks to all involved for the content........ But as ever the more content we can get the quicker we can get them out!
