The second “Cars at the Spa” is being held at the Pump Room Gardens set in the heart of the regency spa town of Leamington. Adjacent to the Royal Pump Rooms (CV32 4AA) and beside the shopping area known for its small individual shops in addition to the larger multiples, it offers an interesting day out.
The Pump Room Gardens are just across the road from Jephson Gardens, a large park with many floral displays and an interesting indoor tropical house. Leamington also has a multitude of cafes, and restaurants within easy walking distance.
The show itself is open to any classic vehicles with an emphasis on those over 25 years old. A programme will be published by Rotary showing details of all the cars on display together with the schedule of the day’s events, including entertainment in the Victorian Bandstand.
The application form and all other details are available from our website www.carsatthespa.co.uk

Morning, living in Blackpool I don’t have luxury of living near Chris Nicholson so looking to see if anyone knows of any specialists in this part of the world?
Hi.
I thought it appropriate to post on the forum the fact that I took my car on it's first (in my ownership) 100+ mile run from Cardiff to Barry then on to the Brecon Beacons and Storey Arms.
It was a very hot day and the car performed very well with the engine temperature not giving any cause for concern.
I did notice the New fuel pump howling away, and I guess that I may need to install a rubber air dam to prevent hot air passing over the fuel tank area? Any advice ?
It certainly brought a lot of smiles, toots, waving and picture taking.
It's been a tough 2 years 9of retirement) on this,my first DeLorean.
At last I no longer spend my day thinking about it lol.
Over the years I've received great support from Chris Williams, and even Chris Parnham managed to lever open my wallet when I purchased an ex pilot car hood from him. I believe that we both own quite a rare DeLorean front grill, but that's a story, to be told by somebody else, on another day.
I've already had some regraining work done by Chris Nicholson, on the drivers Rear Quarter, T section and Chris regrained the hood prior to my purchase.
I'll remove the fascias, sills side lights to enable Chris to go to town on it and then install a new rubber side stripe.
It was never going to be a concourse car, but any modifications made have not been invasive.
Thanks again - it's a reality now, not just a dream (and at times .... nightmare).

Hi all;
If one is suffering from the broken plastic door handle, I understand that the replacement metal ones are a good idea.
My question is:
Is it a straightforward job to do the replacement, and if not, has anyone produced or got (or is it on the forum somewhere) a bit of a 'how to' guide, perhaps?
Many thanks!
Ivan.
Has anyone ordered a replacement carpet set from either DeloreanGO or DMC Texas that they could provide some pictures of fitted? I'm a stickler for detail and quality and want to make sure I dont spend good money on a poor quality carpet.
Any advice would be appreciated here, although I do need a full replacement set; the carpets are beyond saving before you suggst I just clean them or dye them!
Thought this was an interesting photo of a RHD DeLorean I came across on the Facebook page of where I live.
Shame you cant see the number plate. But looking at it I'm pretty sure it's one of the black interior Wooler Hodec cars.
It's taken of a carnival parade in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.
It looks like the early 80s looking at the fashion and the Austin Princess in the background.
After a bit more research - the passenger in the car - which you can just about see - was Simon Groom of Blue Peter at the time - and he formally opened the carnival with Goldie the dog leading the parade in a DeLorean! How cool was that!
Update - Found a picture of Simon Groom and Goldie the dog !!
UIJ 197 Cherished Registration Plate (On Retention) – No Reserve!
Details
This unusual dateless plate is Irish based hence the lesser spotted U at the beginning. This was chosen for an American car as the six characters featuring an I and a 1 made it even more compact for applications where a compact plate is preferable. The plate is on retention (I have the V778 form) and the winner of the auction will take over ownership. The plate is Uniform Indigo Juliet 197.
I was using this on VIN 5255 from around 2003 until September 2020 before it reverted back to its ULBxxxW plate.
The domain above is for sale and so is the website itself, if of interest. A fun and creative away to have your car pay for itself. The only reason I'm selling is that I was approached by an enthusiast of my build (I wasn't even advertising) who made me an offer I couldn't refuse. After owning VIN 5255 since January 2002, I'm very much look forward to the beast that will replace it. I've a hot list of candidates to test drive once vaccinations are done and lock down is over with. Although it is end of an era, I'm very excited about the next chapter.
