  Gas Monkey Garage DeLorean
Posted by: bjbrownie - 21 Dec 2015, 18:40 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (1)

It might be old news but did anyone see the 2 hour HotWheels episode where they build a Corvette for the HotWheel toy firm Mattel? In it was a small feature where Richard buys a DMC for $1500 and sells it  for $12000 to John Hervey,Richard predicts in a sketch how they're  going to be worth more in the future, pardon the pun-and Gas Monkey Garage will never 'do' a DeLorean......?

More of the DeLorean-check out Herveys DMC decals!

Also when the guys went to Mattel HeadQuarters, they had a nose around the toy car development offices-Richard got talking to one of the designers who had pics of the DMC on his wall, obviously had some input into the design/scale of the 1:64 diecast model

Also on the shelf behind them was a DeLorean front grill

Car Required for Next Eurofest/magazine feture
Posted by: Chris Williams - 17 Dec 2015, 17:14 - Forum: TV/Film Hire and Work Requests - No Replies

Unusual request for a car for next years Eurofest. Pretty much as detailed below but as I understand it a car (and owner) required to go to Ireland and the magazine will cover the costs, Hotels/meals/ferry crossings Etc. if your travelling that way on your own this may be a good way to cover your costs and have someone to chat to/share the driving on route.

Quote:Another Chris – Parnham – suggested I get in touch regarding a feature I'm planning for Modern Classics magazine. What we're looking to do is to to share driving duties on the way to Eurofest 2016 (May 26-29). The car would need to be an automatic LHD, US-spec car the car that was designed to conquer America. We would pay for fuel, hotels, meals, crossings. The outline schedule would be for us to take two days to get there, to allow for scenic photography en-route. The starting point would be Parliament square, Westminster. Do you – or someone in the club – knows of someone for doing this kind of thing?

Thanks,

If any one is interested please get in touch and I can pass your details on
Chris

Video Paint removal

I found this footage on youtube of someone removing paint from a DeLoreans bodywork using soda blasting. It seems like a harsh but convenient way of doing it but would the stainless steel get damaged using this method??  Confused

Thoughts?
