Is this a first in the DeLorean community for such LED conversion?

err..........well Sorbet's had LED's in the back lights for ages now........
we've also got a 'sound to light' unit, which when rigged up, will make the back lights look like a graphic equaliser when music is played. Just havent had time to rig it up yet.

But these LEDs are 3W each though~ It's called Luxeon Stars and it's much brighter than any 5mm LEDs could do!

How much heat are they kicking out as they look like eack LED has a dirty great big Heatsink on the back of them

These LEDs don't generate as much heat as it looks.... I just added these massive heat sinks to make them last longer (which is expected to be 12 years if turned on non stop!).
I have bench tested them, and they are at about 40-43 degree celcius after continuously on for 4 hours.
