DMC-2?

Hi,

A small question:

Sometimes when reading books or websites regarding the DeLorean some people say '...the DeLorean DMC-12...', which I would agree with. However some people say '...the DeLorean DMC-2...'.

Which is correct? Was another car underway?

dmc 2 was meant to be a project John was undertaking in the mid 90s that never took off (obviously)...
