Hi All,
its that time of year again - actually I'm running a bit behind this year - where I need
photos for the Club Calendar.
Ideally, hi-res photos please, and I tend to use ones that only have the car, without
people in them, although I do make the odd exception.
If you can email pictures to treasurer@deloreans.co.uk please, and I'll make a start on
compiling this years calendar. I may have to shop around too, as our regular supplier
(based in the Netherlands) is more expensive then previous years at the moment.
Many thanks
Claire

okay.......
It looks like calendars, if we decide to go ahead, are going to be more expensive this year.
Our usual supplier, Vistaprint BV (based in the EU) cannot not do the deals that they have
previously done for us. Now, instead of 50 calendars coming into us at around £6.50 each,
they are going to be around £19 each.
I'm looking at other suppliers, but we'd still be looking at paying at least double compared to
previous years, and I'm not sure that people will go for that. I'll keep trying though, I'm sure
something will come up, but the days of them being sub £8 each I fear are over.
I'll keep you all posted as to progress.
I'm in touch with an independent printer at the moment, so I'll see what sort of price he can do for us.
Sometimes, maybe its better to support a small business that has struggled over the last 18mths, then some faceless
multi-national that probably doesn't even pay tax.
Anyway, I've now got about 50 photos to work through, to get the final 13............

Thank you to everyone who submitted photos, it was a hard job picking the final selection
as there were some absolute corkers, but it gives me some to carry over for the next one
if need be.
We are working with an independent printer this year, and from initial discussions, I would
estimate a retail price each, including UK postage, of around £8.95 - this would also take into account
things like Paypal fees and eBay fees. If you were to buy direct at, for instance, the NEC Classic
Motor Show, then I would estimate them being around £7.00 each, hopefully less. But I will
confirm pricing once everything is sorted with the printer. This is a massive difference to the £19.00
we'd be looking at if I'd gone with Vistaprint, or £12-17.00 each with one of the other online printers.
I will keep you posted and let you know when I've had a proof sent to me and will post some pictures.

Bargain, well done, and as you say, yes, nice to support an independent business, and interesting that it comes out about the same price too!!

okay, I've had the proofs come through from the printer, so we're pretty much good to go with
getting these ordered.
I'll have 75 coming, I think 15 are spoken for already lol
They should be in stock within the next 2 weeks, pricing, etc to follow.

I'm hoping to pick my calendar up from the NEC as usual (Sunday), if that's ok. Ergo, put my name down for one please.
