DeLorean Required for Magazine, Dunmurry, March
#1
Chris

We're currently pulling together a big feature on the DMC-12 and DeLorean more broadly for issue 156 of Octane magazine, which goes on sale 27 April.

At the heart of the feature will be a drive story written by John Simister, for which we'd like to take a DMC-12 for a spin on the roads around Dunmurry, and back to the site of the DeLorean factory.

We'd be after action shots and still photography. Hopefully we can get the latter on the DeLorean test track; we've spoken to Montupet and are waiting to hear whether they'll grant us access.

Critically, at the moment we don't have a car lined up. We're looking for a DMC-12 that hasn't been monkeyed with too much over the years, but which is smart enough inside and out to be photographed for a big feature, and which can be driven (sensibly and not a vast distance!) by John Simister.

Is there any Club member (perhaps somebody who lives reasonably close to Dunmurry) who might be kind enough to offer their car for the story?

We would insure the car for the duration of the shoot (it would take a full day), and ideally the owner would be able to join us for the shoot, to help with action photography.

We'd provide the owner with the full set of images, and of course with magazines once the issue has printed.

We're aiming for one of the following dates for the shoot:
– Tuesday 15 March
– Wednesday 16 March
– Thursday 17 March
– Friday 18 March (not ideal but we'd make it work if necessary)
– Weekend of 19-20 March (we'd choose to avoid this if possible, simply because it may be harder to get access to the test track at the weekend)
– Any day week commencing 21 March

If this sounds of interest, please could you get in touch as soon as you have a moment?

Many thanks,
Chris Bietzk
