Paint removal
#1
Video

I found this footage on youtube of someone removing paint from a DeLoreans bodywork using soda blasting. It seems like a harsh but convenient way of doing it but would the stainless steel get damaged using this method??  Confused

Thoughts?

I think there was a fair old chat on DMCTalk about this. IIRC the before and after shots showed no signs of damage to the S/Steel at all, clearly it needed re-graining but that would have been required no matter how the paint was removed.

Soda is a very soft media and should be absolutely fine with removing paint from stainless steel.

It's literally the same stuff you cook with, it's pretty fine and soft.
