Front Fascia - which bars?
#1
I've used a heat gun to flatten the front fascia but as with them all, the eyebrows slowly appear back. I've heard of people putting strengthening bars inside the lip of them, I was just wondering if there was a certain type that people used, dimensions etc?

I used a piece of Aluminium bar, 1/8" thick and 1" deep, cut to length (about 11" iirc, over each pair of lights. You can't get it all the way across the fascia)

1" was actually too deep as it interfered with the headlight mounting, so I intend to replace it with 1/8" x 3/4" AL bar

Cheers mate, I'll give it a shot with a slightly thinner bar. Got any progress pics?

Sorry, no pics, silly me.

I used this guide (from DMCTalk, thanks David P), and even though I read that you shoudl use 3/4", I thought that 1" would be even better, but it isn't Sad

Likewise I used a flat ally bar just across the headlight section and used Tiger Seal to fix into place, clamping it until the Tiger seal was dry. Again cant remember what size the bar was though.
