Hi Rob... Welcome to the forum!
There is currently a waiting list for DeLoreans unless you want to import !
If a car in your budget comes up in the uk then grab it fast!
Hope you find your car soon... you wont regret it.... !

yeah, looks like i'm going to have to import,
I'm after a parts car, more than a complete one, so i may have a slim chance in the UK?
I'm not bothered about origionality, engine, interior, or body damage.

Well parts cars are few and far between as most members will tell you...
They do come up granted, but usually a DeLorean is never allowed to go that "Far Gone" unless its caught fire or a terminal road accident which would make it an uneconomic repair if its totalled.
I would suggest you start your search in the states, going for the cheapest you can find...after imports etc i guess you will still be looking at 6-8 grand minimum for what you require....
Good luck

Road accidents or fires dont scare me
I'm pretty good at GRP and mould making, welding, and panelbeating
nearly all my cars have started as either in a scrap yard, or wrecked. I kinda like saving cars what would usually be parted out/scraped, and giving them a new lease of life.
My chevy truck was imported from japan (its been round the world, from the US, to Japan, to England), so importing a car isnt too much of a big deal for me to sort, I have a few contacts that import US classics and rods regularly, so sould be able to sort somthing out.
Cheers

Hi Rob, welcome to the forum, and good luck with your search - I agree with
Ben, you'll have more luck finding a car Stateside, but its also worth keeping in
touch with people like Chris Nicholson at PJ Grady, as he may know of project
cars that aren't on the open market yet due to his contacts with PJ Grady Inc
in the USA.

Also Ed Uding at DMC Europe, he is often buying cars for import and turning some down for being too far gone. In fact I believe he was in the US last week and cancelled purchase of a batch due to frame corrosion.
