Has anyone seen this website?
http://www.deloreanforsale.co.uk?
I emailed the guy selling the car (Russell) and he wantes £33,000 for it. Its a bit too much for me, and probably a bit over the odds for a standard LHD car. I've pointed him in the direction of the club/forum for more guidence.. Maybe people can advice him.
I also pointed out that, while the pictures on the website are very eye catching he needs more of the body work, underside, interior and engine in order to get anywhere close to that price.

If I was spending that kind of money on a D, it would be RHD:

Eyebrows and ill-fitting headlights for 33k ??!
Mike, you may not get a (well converted) RHD for 33k either (but you never know).

That's funny, because the guy selling the first car, is the same guy that sold PJ Grady the second car!
One and the same car perhaps?

For £33k I wouldn't just be expecting 'fantastic condition', I'd be expecting it to be near concours standard.

Sorry Mike, I only just clicked your link!
OK, I take it back, you could get a (well converted) RHD for less than 33k...

Damn,
I've just sawn my LHD dash in half to make a vast profit from a RHD conversion and now you tell me it was a typo.

Lol, I must admit even with my limited experience 33K seems WELL over the odds. I pointed out that 15-16K might be a better price, no matter what the "auction houses" say. Needless to say no response to that one. If he manages anywhere near 33K for it ill eat my hat. Hell, I'll eat half a wardrobe.

and from such a poor auction/website, no details but i suppose it does say "coming soon"
does low milage of old cars really appeal to people? to me it puts me off as it could have so many hidden issues from being sat where ever, indoors our outdoors still brings problems to the parts you hope would be great for such low mileage
good luck to him

I agree. When I manage to track one down I'd much rather know its been used over the years. Its the usual story. Not too many miles, but then again not too few. I'd avoid paying a premium just for low millage. However I do like the idea of setting up your own website to sell your car. Certainly avoids the costs of sites such as ebay.

It does, BUT most sell through the club and/or magazine anyway. Anyone who wants a car is usually in the DOC anyway.

If you are genuine about considering importing then
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 614wt_1014 just appeared in the US.
Automatic and no pictures of frame though, but could be had at a nice price
I'm after a grey, manual myself though so not for me!

The car mentioned in the incomplete website will/is be up for sale. It belongs to a club member however as the website was a work in progress It was not really expected to be viewed as yet, however as we now know it has. I have been asked to point out that the price is not 33k as mentioned however it is a superb Grey/manual car and he will be looking for around the 25k mark. Hope this clears this up a bit.
