Droning from my rear end
#16
I have used the ones from SpecialT auto and they seem to have a good proven track record. As for the others they are AFAIK un proven as yet they may be great they may not, time will only tell. I'm sure the suppliers/'clubs' insurance will cover you and your car should they fail on you though.

The "Eurotech" joints weren't available 2 years ago.

It's impossible to write a DeLorean "bible" without opinion getting too much of a hold, IMO. James Espey has recently brought out a "buyers guide" but inevitably the suggestion there is to buy everything from DMC. It's the nature of our little world, we have american cars that were built in the UK using parts from European suppliers so we occupy an ever changing niche. If you wrote a cross-reference list, it'd be out of date within a month (been there, done that). One example is the rear wheel bearing - the reference I had was getting tough to get hold of, but the same sodding bearing is commonly available for something else and Rich H knew about it.

The best thing to do is keep up with the goings on on the various forums. I refuse to have anything to do with the Eurotech crowd but I can't fault them for sorting out the supply of those joints. ALL others are flawed for one reason or another - the SpecialT units change the suspension geometry, the DMC ones prematurely fail, originals are like rocking horse sh!t now.
