Fuse number 1 keeps popping!
#1
Fuse 1 (RPM Relay, distributor, vvacuum solenoid, ignition ECU and idle speed ECU) keeps popping every time the ignition moves into the 3rd position, i.e. lights come on the dash.

When I disconnect the idle speed ECU, the fuse doesnt pop - I replaced this with the unit from my car = no difference.

Any tips?

just spoken to Phill, as he's good with electrics, he said it sounds like there's
a short somewhere in the wiring, if you've not got a wiring diagram handy it
might be worth emailing/PM'ing RichH or Martin G.

Hope you get it sorted ok!

Got it sorted last night, we tracked it down to the black/pink wire coming from the bulkhead to the idle speed valve. Must have shorted inside the loom so we ran a new wire on the outside of the loom to the idle speed valve.

Thats good news, was it anywhere obvious where the loom is getting caught or rubbed through?

Nope, not obvious at all - the loom isnt being stretched or crushed anywhere.
