Door post trim buttons

While doing some maintenence work on the DMC doors, I noticed the window trim panels were a bit loose. Close inspection showed the 'christmas tree' studs were a bit shot so I pulled them carefully out of the trim and found Halfords do a very similar one in their accessories section HFX 343 (trim panel buttons), price code H at £2.15 for 15. These are about 1/4 longer than the DMC originals, but the head is very similar in manufacture, I had to cut the outside edge off one side too, as the originals. Reglued the outer covering and theyre as good as new. A quick sort out and saves hunting around trim suppliers for identical buttons. 8)

N.B., cut the new trim button to the same length as the original or the trim will not sit flush with the door. 8)
