Special invitation from GKN to the DOC !

Hi All,
The DeLorean Owners Club have been invited to attend GKN's 250th aniversary party!
- a very nice invitation I think, we are part of their history as they did of course make the chassis and wheels!

GKN will celebrate its 250 years in September, and to mark this occasion we are organising a 250 Year Party at our Global Headquarters in Redditch on Saturday 19th September.
The event is due to start at 1200h and end at 1600h on Sat 19th September.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day.

I have spoken to the organiser and they are reserving 6 spaces for us, right at the front of the building. They have requested we arrive no later than 11.00am in order to setup properly.

The event I believe is also supporting some charities, I have myself also offered to do a couple of short runs for attendee's if they wish as raffle prizes for example.

Please contact either myself or Claire via PM if you would like to attend the event - 1st come 1st served :-)

They really were very welcoming last time, with an excellent barbecue and beer tent at resonable rates as I recall.

Yep, it was a great day out last time. 2004 I think it was? Where did that 5 years go??

I'm a bit gutted that VIN# 12173 is still off the road otherwise I'd definitely put my hand up to go to this one.

no probs Scott, thought Dave might be working as its a Saturday - he's coming down for
the AGM the next day tho AFAIK.

The postcode for next Saturday is B98 0AJ, and we have to be there by 11am.

I've still got to get Flopsy MOT'd - but at least I finish work on Wednesday, so I'll have
Thursday and Friday to sort it out. 8)

what a lovely chilled out day in the sun we had today!!!

Unfortunately, I forgot the memory card for my camera (left it in the PC like a chimp), so
we'll have to rely on Phil, Scott, RichH and Phill for uploading any piccies.

We gave charity rides to to people as well, and everyone came back with beaming smiles
and grins from ear to ear.

On behalf of us all, I'd like to thank Claire and everyone at GKN for looking after us today and
their hospitality, including free sarnies and drinks
