Hi all,
thought I'd relay this experience to you all, especially people who pay monthly
for their car insurance (and not just DeLorean insurance) through an outfit
called Premium Credit Limited.
As Phill and I have eight cars between us (not including the Cav we're scrapping),
we are looking at multi-car insurance policies and trade policies (Phill is self
employed).
As I pay my insurance monthly, and the payments are collected by Premium
Credit Ltd, I cancelled my direct debit last week as I didnt want to renew my
AON Policy just yet.
Well, Premium Credit took the money anyway from my bank on Monday,
and without going into details, put me in an awkward position as a result.
Today, I've come back from being away for a few days, to a snotty letter from
then threatening all sorts because I've cancelled my direct debit. They provide
a phone number - an 08447 number to be precise, which, when I rang it,
I was told was a premium rate phone line. :x
I asked to be phoned back, and got the old chestnut about them not being
able to make outgoing calls.
I have just emailed AON and Premium Credit (AON shut at 5pm) to vent my
spleen in no uncertain terms about this, so I'll let you know the outcome.
The bottom line is, I'm right P'd off that I've got to ring a premium rate number
to sort out this bunch of shark's mistake and get my money back!
