My Z1 is the bain of my life right now - rented it out to someone who promptly blew the 1394 port on it. The repair bill is looking massive, I'm proper unhappy! I was saving for a Red Rock lens adaptor, now the money is going to getting it fixed.

But yeah, I have a similar set up - one of those new 2.8 iMacs with the full Final Cut Studio setup, and access to a Mac Pro for the really heavy stuff (not that I've needed to use it for a while).

Not bragging but for my Final Cut Studio 2 editing suit I have a new 8 Core Mac Pro, 16 GB of ram and 2x30 Inch Apple Cinema Displays.

I also have a render farm consisting of 16x8 Core XServes all running compressor and my new Video XSan with 22 TB of storage, I can compress my projects to Either DVD4 or DVD9 in about 4 minutes !!!!!

Oh and I have 4 Quicktime Streaming Servers to play with !
