New Search Engine
#1
Dear all,

I am currently compiling a new search engine for DeLorean owners and enthusiasts alike. The search engine will work similar to Google, yet tests have proven it to be faster and more relevant results show.

On the search engine so far I have 1 link, which is to the DOC's homepage. So anyone who has a DeLorean related website, please get in touch with me. It doesnt cost anything to you, because it doesnt cost anything for me to do it.

When sending me the address of your website please include the following:

URL (in the address bar)
A brief description of what your website has to offer
Keywords.

P.s. When I say keywords, please include relevant ones. for example if your website is about the DeLorean engine, please include the keyword 'engine'.

admittedly, it has taken a while to write the script for this. Over the next few weeks (2 probably), I will be adding websites.

Instead of people sending there details to sign up, there will be an opt-out service instead. this means that anybody who doesnt want their website on the search engine can let me know.

However I do need a bit of help:

I need a name for the search engine
I need a logo for the search engine.

Any suggestions?

Due to legalities, I am not allowed to use an opt-out service.

This means that anybody who wants their website listing must apply for it, I'm very sorry for all this trouble but it is unavoidable.

I am currently setting up a sign-up form form for the site, so in the meantime, please feel free to email me:

The search engine is now functional at www.projectflash.tk

Please feel free to sign up by sending me an email or a Private Message.

P.S. Obviously, this is a free to use and free to sign up service.

P.P.S. If you would like to try it out, type DSE then click search.

Mike and Chris (Williams),

Could you do me a favour and check your internet settings, for example is JavaScript enabled? Do you accept all or no cookies?.

If you change them to test it, please change them back afterwards, it's just that I'll need to edit the script of the search engine to work on all browsers, so I need to know why it isnt working for some.

OK, here's the problem.

Having done some testing, the reason why it wont work for some is that the script needs the 'accept all cookies' option enabled in 'internet options'.

I'm going to have to try and change the script so it will run without this option, not that I'm that advanced yet Sad

I'll do my best and let you know.
