Turbo (or Super) AND HP cams.
#1
I remember reading a post (can't remember who said it or where it was), but the person was saying that you can't have both turbo and higher cams on the same block.
I can't remember why this was so.
Is there a very simple reason why this wouldn't work?

does it all come down to timing/fuelling issues? (efi?)

Did I dream it?

Make me a deal and make it straight
All signed and sealed, i´ll take it
To robert e. lee i´ll show it
I hope and pray he don´t blow it ´cause
We´ve been around a long time just try try try tryin´ to
Make the big time...
Take me on a roller coaster
Take me for an airplane ride
Take me for a six days wonder but don´t you
Don´t you throw my pride aside besides
What´s real and make believe
Baby jane´s in acapulco we are flyin´ down to rio

Throw me a line i´m sinking fast
Clutching at straws can´t make it
Havana sound we´re trying hard edge the hipster jiving
Last picture shows down the drive-in
You´re so sheer you´re so chic
Teenage rebel of the week
Flavours of the mountain steamline
Midnight blue casino floors
Dance the cha-cha through till sunrise
Open up exclusive doors oh wow!
Just like flamingos look the same
So me and you, just we two got to search for something new
Far beyond the pale horizon
Some place near the desert strand
Where my studebaker takes me
That´s where i´ll make my stand but wait
Can´t you see that holzer mane?
What´s her name virginia plain

Looked at it in great detail for my engine change project.... but way to expensive for me. And i do like origionality so I went for the uprated stage 2 engine, and beleive me it's well worth it. Much quicker than a normal D.

i have a single BAE kit on mine, but unless your lucky to have one, making a kit may be a tad too expensive. the kit on mine was originally about $4k but there arnt many left due to the set up given in the instalation manual, in short they all blew up because of weak running. which in my case is being sorted at this time

what I was basically asking in a roundabout way was, if someone was to install HP cams AND supered/turboed the engine, would the engine not be able to handle the boost?

It's the insides (rods and pistons, etc) that won't be able to handle it, right?

just thinking out loud really. Smile

EDIT: I'm sure this talk bores those engine brainiacs Smile Who've probably already discussed it 1000 times already...

at the end of the day the worse that can happen is the engine will blow up,and to be honest the amount of boost i will put through mine it probably will  TT
