Not surprised.  Matlock is about 4ft under water now.

Went to the Cromford Steam Rally last summer - It was by far the muddiest show I had ever visited! It appeared that the field that they had chosen to host the event was a bog!

Aghhh..yes well,

the 'steam rally' which also had classic cars, was held in the meadows, where the ground is very good, for many years......but moved to a local farmers field some time ago...Probably it was cheaper, but i'm not sure.

I'm pretty sure the meadows is good stony ground...its used as a large car park normally ..merging into a Rugby ground. I will give regular updates and site inspections.

Dont forget the date is now Sunday JUNE 19th .......

And for local folk...the following weekend is the Duffield Carnival ..all welcome.
