Bicester Heritage 18-20th September
#1
Hi Everyone,
I hope you've all healthy & safe.

I have had a call from my friends at Brand Events (who organise carfest) the lovely lady who sorts out the vehicle & club displays is trying to put together a "Celebration of Car Clubs" and is looking at holding an event at Bicester Heritage over the weekend 18-20th September
For those who haven't been to Bicester, its an old RAF base which has the majority of buildings occupied by businesses specialising in Classic Car restoration & services, including the Heritage Academy which actively trains & promotes kids wanting to learn traditional automotive skills (and courses for Adults too) The site has many Aircraft hangers that have been converted to classic car storage. The stuff in there is just AMAZING (last time I saw a fellas collection of F40 cars into double figures, with delivery miles on them, plus lots of awesome exotica & famous race cars in storage)
For the ladies, Bicester has an amazing shopping village nearby.

This is just a tentative Post to see who would be interested in coming along, maybe one day or two, to make a nice Delorean display?

What do you think guys?

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

Darren, I've been dealing with Bicester Heritage about them hosting us next year as part of our 25th anniversary meet (plus 40yrs of the DMC-12).
Be interested to read your feedback if you do go this year, others I've heard from say its a good day out.

Hi Claire,

I'm the founding member of The Association of Heritage Engineers who work closely with Bicester & the Academy, it is indeed an amazing collection of traditional Automotive Businesses and a great day out.
We're all working on the H&S & social distancing for this event & I should be posting more information soon

Kindest Regards
Darren

Hi Nick,

The stand will be manned at all times & entry inside the cars is not the norm, so no need to worry. However I do leave it up to individuals if they want to allow vetted persons/children in their car whilst they are in attendance
Looking forwards to seeing you & your car on the Saturday
Kindest Regards

sounds great, hope you all have a good time and the weather is kind - a write up for the mag would be great due to a lack of events this year.

Hi Everyone,

Just to clarify, this Event is STILL on.
The organisers have confirmed it complies with the new Covid rules for a "safe" gathering

Please let me know if you'd like to attend as I have the Free Entry Passes & obviously need names before the day to meet the new rules.

Kindest regards
Darren
