I know we've long since forgotten about this idea of replacing the DMC dealership signs but i was wondering if there's still enough of an interest to kickstart this project once more since we're in lockdown?

I would certainly like one, perhaps not a full scale one but a smaller version.

I can still look into the cost of getting some small ones done, if/when work starts again I'll be putting in a lot of money with a signmakers so it might be a good time to get a price for these on the side?

Sounds like a good idea matt I'd be first to buy one from you, had a few ideas over the past few weeks such as having a 4ft one using a direct mains plug and possibly look into making some desk ornament sized ones that run off 2 AA batteries?

There's a thread going on about this on one of the DeLorean Facebook groups. Mike Ward seems to think he can get them (may be from the Irish chap) so will keep an eye on that and pass anything on.

I've been watching it too on the delorean fanatics page wonder what comes of it cause there's a large enough interest for both large and small signs

I'd probably have one in the garage if they were a reasonable price.

Well from a Yorkshireman's point of view about £4.82
I don't know exactly, there are a few makers on eBay that do nice illuminated signs (bought a BL one recently) so as this would be larger say £2-300? Guess it boils down to what it's made from and size I suppose?

I think I'd be aiming at a legit copy, ie, stainless and metal, but can look at cheaper options...

Don't think it will be that cheap I'm afraid. Bought one as an Xmas pressie to put up in the garage when it's had a re-roof (hopefully in next few weeks, giving more height) This is 43x30cmx 10 deep. with led's in made of metal and it was just over £100

Matt have you made a decision on where your going to price these signs, cause i was thinking if we made some cheaper priced signs and authentic ones so that everyone could have one?

One doesn't like to brag.........but you all know me!
My sign (genuine dealer sign) I bought from the USA for £600...many, many years ago, the major problem was getting it shipped back to the UK! It could have cost me twice as much, luckily, Ian Foster helped out by cramming it on a trailer full of motorbikes.......That was a memorable drive back from Southampton, with a 8 foot wide, overloaded trailer.
