CAMPER LOCATION
#1
I'm trying to locate a VW Campervan, blue and white with registration GAP 893L, I found on the DVLA site is was last taxed in March this year, is there any way I can find where or who this vehicle belongs to and where it is? Thanks for any help.

I don't know if you still can (with GDPR and all that) but you could apply to the DVLA if you had a reason to get the details of the owner and location.

You certainly could in 2002, thats how I tracked down MGJ originally. For a fiver, the DVLA would forward an (open)  letter to the registered owner...providing it was inoffensive. But I'm pretty sure they don't do it any more..."its not a service we offer' was all I could get out of them a couple of years ago. It was like talking to a broken record. And thats before all this latest madness started up.

So good luck with that. You need a friendly copper..or private car park owner..who can do the business. Good luck.

Have you googled the reg number..a picture of it comes still in Scotland in 2017.

I would try posting on VW forums to see if anyone that might know the owner could forward your details.

Did you ever own it yourself? Or know a previous owner?

That DVLA link says you can ask about a vehicle that used to be registered in your name...

'L' plate would make it a 'crossover' year between Early and Late Bays, but there are plenty of crossovers on this forum:

Might be worth signing up and posting. It's very active.
