I dropped a mate off to pick up his car from a local garage after its MoT,and was surprised to find a graveyard of Lotus cars around the back of the garage-he had told me about this last year but I didn't have any time to look into it.
A few of the cars were complete and looked like little work was needed to get them roadworthy, but sadly a few were beyond help-cut off body parts and chassis were stacked neatly around, there was a chassis jig by one car and bits of machinery which suggested that the garage may have been a Lotus specialist a while back.
A shame to see these fabulous sports cars in the state they were in, but I must say the early Esprit seemed very kit car like in its construction, on comparison the DMC seems a lot more refined as both cars were from the early 80s.
