Some will be aware of the event's over in Belfast this weekend, unfortunatly I'm unable to attend due to work however there are lots of people attending from all around the world. There is a Facebook page on the event hear:
https://www.facebook.com/DMCReunion/tim ... e_internal Anyway the point of this posting is that they are having an auction of some nice bits of DeLorean related stuff. This is open to on-line bidders and is for charity. The page link and items for auction are hear:

I'm gutted about missing this event but I have to book my work leave so far in advance and trying to get it altered is really difficult and next to impossible over a bank holiday weekend. Anyway have fun those who are going.

Barrie's asked me to record the whole thing for a DVD to put out later in the year, so I'll do my best to make it as though you were really there

...my understanding was that us Motley lot weren't invited. It's not supposed to be a "free for all" to turn up....was my understanding. I was led to believe it was a gathering of all ex DMC employees only.
Our gathering is next year.
Am I mistaken?!

It was a 'by invitation' event. I'm sure if you really wish/wanted to go he would have squeezed you in, he had allocated spaces for club/s members.

It was never a 'public meeting' as such, but some of it is at places where the public can go.
And Withers and I will be at the UTFM car park from mid morning onwards on Sunday, where over 20 DeLorean cars will assemble. ( near the rear of the building) We will be delivering pre-ordered books and hopefully flogging and signing some more!
This is a semi-public place and anyone can turn up and chat and pay to enter the Museum if they would like to see the brilliant display inside. If it's raining we will set up inside the building along with others flogging their books!
On the Monday they will be at Bush Mills Mid morning and heading north for lunch.

You are indeed not mistaken. DeLorean owners and enthusiasts from around the world will
all be invited to the next "open" event - Eurofest 2016 26th May to 29th May 2016. An exciting programme of new events has been planned and Barrie Wills has accepted an invitation to be one of the keynote speakers and hopefully he will bring along some of his former colleagues.
More details and on-line booking will appear through various websites in due course.

all I've seen on Facebook is people from the UK and Europe saying they are heading off to Belfast
to be part of this event.
It doesn't give the impression of an 'ex employee only' event.
Not sure if we'll be able to attend Eurofest next year, depends if it falls on school holidays or not
and whether we can afford to attend as we'll have to factor in the cost of bringing both cars to Ireland

Not sure what happened over the on-line auction (link seems to be dead) or if this auction was run in line with one on an evening however it seems some of the stuff is already appearing on Ebay:

That's kind of shitty, I was bidding to buy that because I actually wanted it, seems a bit of a shame to bid in a charity auction when the other party is only trying to make a profit from it.

Yes I was bidding on a few items myself, guess time will tell who one them. Surprised people are moving them on that quick from a charity auction.
But hey that's the free market and all.

I was fortunate enough to attend the Workers Reunion, fantastic event and lots of memories I will cherish forever. My favourite experience was finally getting to take my car around the test track and getting to live the dream I have had for 30 odd years.
I was sucessful in purchasing the Warren House B&B sign which was a steal at £45, thats what I had my eye on from the start. It was less than a mile from my family home so it had a lot of sentimental value to me, and it stays in Northern Ireland
I will try get a few pictures up tomorrow or Friday for the forum.

Great photos! I shot a lot of the test track - will see if I have any footage of your car going round.

They're also selling a scan of it as well, trying to eke even more money out of it!
