Well the forms have turned up. I've had a search through but can't see any posts mentioning V55/5.
Lots of the questions seem straight forward but some like 'Noise at idle' 'Noise at 3000rpm' CO2 levels, power/weight ratio, Tow limits, etc etc seem alittle complicated.
Any advice welcome.
Do I need to be sending MOT certificate or do I need to get one when V5 turns up? I thought I did but tester yesterday put doubt in my mind.

Unless it has changed, you need to submit the following with the v55/5:
-NOVA form from HMRC
-Copy of valid insurance certificate
-MOT certificate
-Registration fee
-1st years road tax
There is a guide on this website re filling out the v55/5:
http://mydmc.co.uk/importing/index.html (scroll to the bottom)
However the v55/5 form looks to have since been updated so there maybe additional sections to fill in on the revised form.

We have just sent off our V55/5 Karl and just eagerly waiting for the confirmation that the car is registered.
As Mike has quite rightly stated, the form has changed recently but, assuming that our application sails through, I can send you a scan of everything we sent so you can mimic it if you want.

Its one of the few occasions that you can legally drive your car with no number plates on it. Having made an appointment, at the MOT station.
They will issue the document to the vin number. ( you need to be insured of course…this too can be on a vin number)

Using the old form link Mike Ward posted, it looks like most answers are N/A.
Some we should know though.....
What is the Wheelbase of a Delorean?
Where would I find the engine number?
Do we know the engine power in kW?
Do we know towing limits on a D?
What did you put Mike Knowlton?
Cheers Karl.

All that info is easily found on the interwebs
Wheelbase: 2,413 mm (95.0 in)
Engine number: Below CAT (mid-piston) on the block
KW: 96
Towing? N/A - nothing verified anyway (doubt it'd matter as I've never registered one with that information)
I'll be doing this in the coming months... years so it's all useful!
