I am very pleased to bring to you all a new product. I have recently invested in a lathe and I have just completed the first set of door pins.
These are turned from 303 grade stainless steel and have a highly polished finish, these will really be noticed on your DMC! They are made to the later spec of door pin with the longer thread length.
These have been made with a domed & chamfered end to help guide the door catch and try and reduce the damage caused to the pin.
The price is £60 for a complete set of 4 + £4.50 UK P&P (Royal Mail 1st class recorded) or £8.90 (Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed). I could make the postage cheaper but there wont be any insurance should they go missing.
These are made to order so please allow a day or two to get a set completed before I can post out.

What's the corrosion resistance of 303 like? I had a stainless water pump pulley go rusty recently.

Similar corrosion resistance to 304 stainless. The only reason I used 303 was for the machinability of it over 304. 304 is can be very difficult to machine.
What was your pulley made from?

Here's the bumf from the supplier I use:
Corrosion and Oxidisation Resistance of 303
303 stainless Steel shows good corrosion and oxidisation resistance in mildly corrosive atmospheric environments. Its sulphide inclusions act as pit initiation sites meaning it provides a lot less resistance than 304.
Grade 303 should not be exposed to marine or other similar environments, to prevent rapid pitting corrosion.
EN 1.4305 303 stainless steel provides good oxidisation resistance in intermittent service to 760°C (1400°F) and continuous service to 870°C (1,598°F).
So less resistant than 304 but giving the location of this part on the car I don't think you should worry too much about it.

Hi Paul,
I presume the price included fitting and subsequent door re-alignment?
Hopefully I see you in Dorset with your spanners and a little mirror on a stick! Flashy will be so chuffed!
