Keep searching and dont rush into it,

I got mine for £4.5k last year, totally complete, but been sat since the early 90's, by a bit of luck, it had LOADS of new parts fitted before it was tanken off the road, and had been garaged.

I could have got it on the road with a change of tyres, new windscreen, and service, but decided to do a body off resto instead.

Well guys thanks for the chat Sunday morning and letting me look round the cars. I had never seen under the boot or bonnet of a Delorean before. So it was good to get some idea of what there like.

I'll keep an eye on here and try to pop along to some events this year if i can. I don't mind a car that needs a bit of work. I have restored a few minis and worked on plenty of others cars before. I will just see what comes up. I don't really want to have to do a full resto on one though, Not to begin with anyway I want to be able to enjoy it.

Heres a few pics I took Sunday morning.

This is my current money bit haha. My first car. Had her almost 7 years now. Currently have a full nut and bolt rebuild. Should have her ready for summer then I can put some more delorean money as side.

Looks a lovely Job,

my second ever car at the age of 18 was a grey mini-van. VCH 878. Would be worth a bob or two these days.

Guys guys. Yea I am happy with how its coming along. Its taken me long enough to get it like this. This is what I wanted when i first bought it but I was a student then working one day a week and a well known burger chain. I was definitely not loving it haha. Good things come to those who wait!

I love mini vans. I did a light resto on my mates a few years back. Including a respray all done in the garden haha. Paint job was not 100% great but he still uses it as his daily!

I also have this in my fleet waiting its turn to be hit with the welder.

Then I have my daily driver clubman that needs a little spruce up as its getting rough round the edges.

This is why I don't want to get a Delorean that needs a full rebuild. I have enough of that to do haha.

Your van seems to be the "half-timbered" version, probably got a headlining in the back though…..I used to have very bad condensation problems with mine..too much heavy breathing perhaps….

loving the Mini's brings back memories of my two (long dead now).

My first car was UEB121S, a Vermillion coloured 850, then I had a brown 1000, YJW722T.

You and your GF are very welcome to join us at our shindig in Dorset in June - but only if I can
tazz about in the Mini to relive my youth lol Wink (only joking)
